Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Day 7 rhinoplasty review. (No implant, osteotomy, nasal tip)

I had an osteotomy and nasal tip surgery. I did not have silicone inserted, and only ear cartilage was used for the nasal tip. Before removing the splint, I was anxious and posted photos and a question asking whether the nasal tip looked upturned. Many people left comments, so I am back to leave a review.

My previous nose had a very slight hump that you would barely notice unless you looked closely, and I had a bridge, but the tip was a little bulbous, so 3 years ago I had only the nasal tip raised with ear cartilage. But there was no change at all, so I had revision surgery at the same hospital. They tied the nasal tip, placed a support strut, and added extra cartilage on top of that, but as soon as the splint came off, it was exactly the kind of nose I hate.. Only the nasal tip became long like Pinocchio and looked severely pinched.. The hospital said it would get better, so I went home, but I was so stressed that I felt like I could become depressed. I could not even look people in the eye and just wanted to keep crying. The pinched shape and the lengthened nose did not seem like something that would be fixed just by swelling going down, so I called the hospital the very next day and said I wanted to undo it. Then, two days after removing the splint, I went back to the hospital.

The consultant told me to put in silicone, but I asked them to remove the additional nasal tip cartilage and only do the osteotomy. Just 9 days after the revision surgery, they opened my nose again and I had a second revision surgery. Then I had the splint on again, waited for the swelling to go down, and wow.. because I had already experienced one failure, I worried about my nose all day long and regretted having surgery so much. Before, I thought surgery would definitely make you prettier and that it was better to do it when you were even a little younger, but this experience completely changed my mind. I found this community after surgery, and when I read the tips that hospitals do not tell you? there was honestly not a single wrong thing in there. Ha.. lol I went through so much emotional stress, so I am leaving this review. In conclusion, I am at least somewhat satisfied with the shape of my nose now, but I really think I was lucky to get even this result.. The director's skill matters, of course, but apart from that, I think cosmetic surgery is really so unpredictable. Even if the shape is pretty, if it does not suit your face, or if it is even slightly crooked, your impression changes drastically..

For reference, I really do not want to recommend the hospital. In my case, until 2 days before surgery, I was scheduled to have surgery with the hospital director, but on the day of surgery they said a new doctor who is good at nose surgery had arrived, so I had it done by that person. I do not know if they underestimated me, and thinking about it now it is ridiculous, but at the time I knew nothing and said okay because they said he was goodㅠ Anyway, I was extremely dissatisfied with the consultation process and the things the hospital recommended, so I really do not recommend the hospital.. If you are curious about the information, I will let you know by private message. I hope everyone looks carefully, uses a lot of information from this community, and has a successful surgery. As for me, even if someone offered to do it for free, I am never getting cosmetic surgery again.. haㅠ
