How should I decide?ㅜㅜ It’s my first surgery, and the recommendations are split between donated costal cartilage and septal cartilage (ear cartilage if needed). Some directors estimate the size of the septal cartilage by CT, and their material choices are different too.. Some directors said you can’t tell from CT and you only know after opening it up, and since I’m only doing the nasal tip, donated costal cartilage isn’t necessary for that amount of height; rather, if it’s used, it could feel hard and be too high.. Has anyone here who had nose surgery had this kind of experience? How did you decide?ㅠㅠ
Romiii If it’s your first surgery, ear cartilage should be fine too, but since revision surgery is so common with noses, it might not be bad to just try using ear cartilage. I did mine with ear cartilage too and I’m satisfied; I like that it’s soft and feels like my own.
