Review of Double Jaw Surgery at a University Hospital for an Underbite

It's been about 11 years since I had double jaw surgery~ Now I sometimes even forget that I used to have an underbite. I'm leaving this because I came here for a nose surgery post. My face had a very severe underbite, so the change was dramatic. But since I had it done at a university hospital and they prioritized function and safety over aesthetics, my jaw length and things like that are still a bit long. Now, after 10 years, some of it has returned, but I'm satisfied that I got through such a major operation healthy and without problems. I had it when I was young, so I didn't even really understand how big the surgery was and just went ahead with it, but for those who are going to have it, you should research carefully and make a good decision. For me, for about 3 to 4 years, if I ate something on the right side of my jaw and it got stuck there, I had no sensation;; now all the sensation has come back though. And after surgery, they tie your teeth together and you eat only rice gruel with a syringe, so it doesn't seem like an easy surgery at all. I really hope everyone who undergoes the surgery comes out safely and beautifully.
