I had 12-year-old Gore-Tex and ear cartilage removed

My nasal bridge was very low, my nose was short, and it was slightly upturned. 12 years ago, I raised the bridge with Gore-Tex and used ear cartilage for the nasal tip. (I had it done by Director G.S.S., who was said to be the best at the time.) At first, I was very satisfied after the surgery, but as a long time passed, the Gore-Tex made only the nasal bridge a little lower while the tip stayed the same, so there was some deformation. The nasal tip also became a bit blunt, maybe because scar tissue had formed there.. In photos, it felt like the cartilage was visible.. Since there was an implant inside my nose, it hurt more if I bumped it somewhere, and I also couldn’t really make a pig nose. (They said before surgery that I would be able to, but after doing it, I couldn’t.) I had been getting stressed about it without realizing it.. On the outside, people usually couldn’t even tell I had nose surgery, but I felt self-conscious alone and somehow couldn’t feel confident. I was always working, so I couldn’t even think about removing it again, but this time I gave birth, went on childcare leave, and after raising the baby to some extent, I had some breathing room. I started thinking that if I was going to keep being stressed like this, I wanted to take it out. When I see people’s surgically enhanced noses... rather than a high, pretty, surgically done nose, even if it’s low, having your own nose looks prettier.. In my 20s, I thought nasal bridge height was important, but as I’ve gotten a bit older, that kind of thing doesn’t feel important anymore... Even looking for a clinic would have been stressful, but an acquaintance knew a good place, so I just had it done there. (Batang Plastic Surgery, Director H.Y.S.) I searched this cafe for Gore-Tex reviews and read them all. I was very worried because people said Gore-Tex is difficult to remove, about nasal contraction, and also that it might hurt during surgery or that the result might not be good, but fortunately I think the surgery turned out well. During the consultation, they told me all the possible side effects, and said they would do the surgery if I wanted, but asked why I wanted to remove it when I didn’t have to. They said there had been one layer of ear cartilage inserted. It was because of the Gore-Tex that I couldn’t make a pig nose. I really didn’t want sedation anesthesia, so I did it with only local anesthesia. The director said it would hurt, so I was scared, but they said they would make it hurt as little as possible. It hurt in a very unpleasant way only when the anesthetic went in, and after that it didn’t hurt at all. Usually everyone gets sedation anesthesia, but I strongly requested this... First of all, I was so glad it didn’t hurt I had been really scared. Since I was awake during the surgery, they checked everything to prevent infection during the operation, and the surgical process was very smooth. I think I heard more than 20 names of surgical instruments I didn’t know. At the end, when they were probably removing the Gore-Tex, a lot of force was applied to the nasal bone several times. It seemed like it had already adhered strongly to my tissue. After the surgery, when I looked in the mirror, I felt like I could see my old nose shape. But it soon swelled, so it looked similar to my preoperative nose... The nasal bridge definitely became lower. It’s still taped, but the director also said it was removed cleanly. I had been very worried because I heard that since it was Gore-Tex, if tissue came off together, the nose could become even lower than before surgery, but the director said that although Gore-Tex grows inward and adheres to tissue, it would be less than 0.01 mm.. For those worrying about implant removal surgery, I hope you can make a bold choice like I did and live without that burden on your mind. Anyway, I’m very satisfied, emotionally. I haven’t even taken the tape off yet, so I’ll post another review later.
