After getting through the difficult days of wondering when I would recover, it’s already been 6 months. The major swelling has all gone down, and since I’m undergoing orthodontic treatment after surgery, there are times when my pronunciation leaks slightly, but there isn’t much discomfort hehe. After 6 months, I can definitely chew tough or hard foods well, and my sensation has almost returned! When I was young, my orthodontic treatment went wrong, so I had severe malocclusion. From the side, my face shape wasn’t round and voluminous; because of my sunken midface and protruding jaw, I had a huge complex that my side profile looked straight and cliff-like. So last July, I had two-jaw surgery + square jaw and chin surgery at Y Oral Surgery! Until months 3-4, I heard a lot that my face looked like a puffy rice cake because of the swelling, but now the major swelling is almost gone, so I hear a lot that I’ve gotten prettier hehe. Friends I meet after a long time know I tend to get a lot of dermatology procedures, so they think I just got lifting or Botox, and if I don’t tell them, they don’t know I had surgery haha..! All I can think is that I should have had the surgery even one year earlier, really lolololol why did I only do it now.. I’m eating everything without dietary restrictions and living well without discomfort :) If you’re considering two-jaw surgery for malocclusion like I was, I really recommend it!!
