No implant + septal cartilage + ear cartilage + ear dermis + nostril lowering + bulbous nose correction + 2 functional procedures I just got it done, please understand the typos I got home an hour and a half ago, but I'm still groggy and out of it. Mine wasn't the typical high hump people think of; it was low for a hump nose. If you look at my previous post, there are before photos, so check them out if you're curious. It was just a slight hump, so the doctor said he would shave it down a little, and that it wasn't enough to need hump osteotomy. When I said I like a slim-looking nose, he said he would do lateral osteotomy then. But this was my second consultation, and by the second one I felt, "This is the place," so I paid the deposit right away. I'm not greedy and absolutely prioritize safety, so I had only been looking into no-implant options. If it had been silicone, I probably would have researched a lot, but for both places I think I went to the consultation kind of too casually, like going to a clothing store. After making the reservation, I searched more and thought I also liked the design at ㄴㄴ, so I should have gone there too. After paying the deposit, surgery was just one week later (today), and suddenly I got a bit scared, so from two days ago I hurriedly searched what side effects there could be. Because of rhinitis, I also had functional nose surgery, and they said it can be covered by medical indemnity insurance, so I think the burden will be a bit lower. Question 1. When doing functional nose surgery, if they remove too much of the inferior turbinate, empty nose syndrome seems more common than expected. Earlier, during pre-op design, I told the doctor about that, and he said that here they don't excise it, but just reduce the size of the inferior turbinate a bit using ENT equipment. He said the rhinitis surgery effect might be a little less if anything, but I don't need to worry about empty nose syndrome, so I felt relieved. Question 2. I also saw people say that once you do osteotomy, it can't be reversed, so I told the doctor that exactly. When I said I heard osteotomy can't be reversed and asked him to do it safely, he told me that if it's done excessively, there is a possibility of revision surgery, but it's not irreversible, so I felt relieved... I had surgery in the last time slot today, so I'm still out of it, but for now my ear doesn't hurt, I absolutely can't breathe through my nose, and I have to breathe only through my mouth, so I'm drinking warm tea. I asked for it to be as natural and slim as possible without using autologous costal cartilage or donated rib cartilage! So if my nose gets a bit smaller, I'll be satisfied with that.
