During my first surgery, I had Gore-Tex + cartilage for the nasal tip, and the cartilage inside my nostril was on the verge of protruding. Pimples had already appeared several times in the same spot, and the Gore-Tex inside was showing through.. Of course, there are probably many people in more severe situations than me, and I think plastic surgery is originally for cosmetic purposes but also for reconstruction. For that, I really had to get surgery from a highly skilled and experienced doctor, so I searched mainly among long-established hospitals. I had the surgery with the thought that rather than for cosmetic purposes, I just wanted to go back to my old nose. Of course, human greed being what it is, if I could make it higher while doing it anyway, I wanted to, but because of the inflammation in my nose, my skin had become too thin and my nose was small, so they said it wasn’t possible Still, they clearly told me what could be done and what couldn’t, so I think it actually made it easier for me to let go of lingering expectations. They said Gore-Tex gets tangled with the tissue, so implant removal is an especially tricky and difficult surgery, but the director carefully removed everything and showed me the removed implant, so I definitely trusted them. Also, even though it was their day off, the staff took turns coming in to do my dressing, and during surgery the consultant held my hand, so I was touched... After surgery, I’m really happy because I think my nose now fits my face better than I expected. Also, since the dermis removed during surgery is stored separately, they said I can get an additional dermal injection within 6 months, so I felt reassured that I could supplement it even after surgery. Of course, since the hospital is in Suwon, that’s the biggest drawback for someone from another region. As for photos, I hated even looking at my face, so I didn’t look in the mirror or at photos, and that’s why my biggest regret is not taking pictures. Everything has pros and cons, and results and shapes can differ from person to person, but personally, I’m satisfied.
