Hello I had concerns about a protruding lower jaw and a flat, long face, so I received double-jaw surgery and 2 types of facial contouring surgery (square jaw and chin) at Y Oral Surgery, and before I knew it, it has been one year since surgery. Even after 6 months, the residual swelling continued to go down slowly for me. Since I had thoroughly understood double-jaw surgery and decided to get on the operating table, I was prepared to some extent that there could be neurological side effects. At first, the sensations and nerves felt a little different, but now that time has passed, thankfully there are no particular abnormalities and everything is fine. During the consultation before surgery, I told them my needs, saying I wanted “naturalness that doesn’t look artificial,” and now, unless I specifically say it, no one notices that I had surgery. But when I look at myself, I can clearly feel that the protruding lower jaw that was my complex has become “normal,” so I am satisfied with the surgery without regret. These days after surgery, I am truly happy and grateful. Also, once I decided to have the surgery and went through with it, I felt that aftercare is extremely important. I think you need to diligently do dermatology procedures or elasticity care to see the effects of the surgery. My skin originally did not have very good elasticity, so after recovering, I have been trying hard to manage it with exercise and home care. If your jaw is a complex and you are therefore considering surgery, I want to say that it is okay to trust it and have courage. If there is just one thing I regret, it is that I did not do it even one year earlier. That is how satisfied and grateful I am.
