In my mid-20s, my front teeth protruded severely, so I had orthodontic treatment. I had 2 teeth extracted from each of the upper and lower jaws, for a total of 4 extractions. This is the part I regret the most. Of course, after orthodontic treatment, the protrusion went in, the unsophisticated impression decreased, and I looked more refined and much prettier, but because I had 4 teeth extracted, I feel an emptiness due to the lack of teeth (chewing ability, etc.). I will not make my child get extraction orthodontics. If they do orthodontics without extractions, then maybe.. As time passes, my front teeth try to come forward again and have spread apart, creating an unsightly gap. I need to wear the retainer every day while sleeping, but because it is uncomfortable and I do not wear it, the teeth keep shifting back. Still, of course, from an external appearance perspective, it is better than before orthodontics.
