After getting double eyelid surgery at a small neighborhood clinic and having it go badly, I thought facial contouring was something I absolutely had to do at a “well-known place.”
I looked for famous places, but this place was blacklisted, that place was blacklisted. In the end, I gave up trying to find a place that wasn’t blacklisted and had it done at a famous blacklisted clinic in Gangnam.
Because it meant shaving bone, I was really scared,
but once I actually went through it, I just went into the operating room, chatted with the nurse, and then anesthesia.
When I woke up, the surgery was all over and I was lying on a temporary bed.
My throat felt burning? like it had been cauterized with a laser, dry and stinging, but they wouldn’t let me drink water, so it was pretty painful.
The painful parts were the stinging throat after waking up from anesthesia and being uncomfortable enough on nights 1-2 that I couldn’t sleep?
Time really doesn’t pass at night.
(Removing the blood drain doesn’t hurt even without anesthesia, so I don’t think you need to worry too much.)
My face swelled like a bouncy ball and my jaw throbbed,
but I’m the type who exaggerates pain and gets scared easily, so I took painkillers every time I felt even a slight hint that it might start hurting, and there wasn’t anything that made me feel like I was going to die from pain.
The worst thing is, as expected, only being able to eat the prescribed foods..
It’s day 4 now, and after getting by on porridge/soy milk/Yoplait, I ate seaweed soup for the first time today.
I hope the day comes soon when I can munch on a Cyburger like it’s nothing..
+ If I have one concern, it’s that I saw the chief director once during the consultation because I requested it, and didn’t see him otherwise. Even when stitches were removed, and throughout the whole day I was hospitalized, I thought he would come at least once to check my condition, but he didn’t. A suspicion that it was a salaried doctor is creeping in.
