I’m going to write a review of male rhinoplasty
I visited a total of 4 hospitals in person, and among them, the hospital where I had surgery was also where an acquaintance had it done, so I decided based on my acquaintance’s surgical condition + my satisfaction with the consultation.
The review and results contain very subjective opinions, and since each hospital has multiple consulting managers, I’ll say in advance that what I say cannot be considered absolutely correct.
1. ㅇㅇㄹ
I know the chief director here is famous, and I had surgery here. It hasn’t been open very long, and I didn’t receive surgery from the chief director; I had it with Director ㄱㅈㅇ. Originally, I went looking for Director ㅂㅈㅇ, but they said he had left, so I consulted with Director ㄱㅈㅇ. Before plastic surgery, I had looked up every possible side effect, so I went into the consultation with the mindset that, out of fear, I wouldn’t believe anything the manager or doctor said. Managers differ depending on personality, so I can’t really say much, but my assigned manager explained things to me mainly based on the male nose shape she preferred. My nose itself wasn’t low or unattractive, and I wanted to correct a deviated nose + slightly bulbous nose + side hump, so because I dislike excessive plastic surgery, during the manager consultation I thought I should just leave. But after consulting with the doctor, I was immediately satisfied. As soon as the doctor came in, he accurately pointed out the areas I wanted corrected, and the consultation was not excessive. It was confident beyond just confidence and truly gave me a sense of trust. Instead, he explained things so perfectly that I had nothing to ask, so the consultation time was actually short. The nose surgery method was septal support graft + silicone implant + medial and lateral osteotomy + alar base reduction.
2. ㅇㅇㅌ
This place is also quite famous, and I heard it’s famous for eyes, so I brought my girlfriend. They explained the same surgical direction as ㅇㅇㄹ in No. 1 and were very kind. If ㅇㅇㄹ felt like, “I’ve explained everything in advance, now ask if you have questions,” ㅇㅇㅌ had a very kind doctor who made it feel like, “Please comfortably ask anything you don’t know.” For rhinoplasty, ㅇㅇㄹ and ㅇㅇㅌ had surgery methods that were so similar, the explanations themselves were so similar, and both immediately identified what I wanted, so there isn’t much more to explain. But if you’re considering eye surgery, personally I can’t tell you to definitely do it here, but I do hope you at least get a consultation. During the consultation about my girlfriend’s double eyelid surgery, they explained everything from the basic concepts of double eyelids (the concepts of in, out, and in-out. I had no idea what any of it meant) to common misconceptions among ordinary people, and the stages, process, and types of surgery. They also tried all the lines and kept shaping the line that matched both the desired direction and the person until she was satisfied. And this was just a consultation.. Anyway, I think it would be good to visit this place too. The nose surgery method was septal support graft + silicone implant + medial and lateral osteotomy.
3. ㄷㄹ
This is also a famous place. Hmm.. If No. 1 and No. 2 explained the same type of rhinoplasty, this place used septal support graft + autologous dermis, and there was no mention of the deviated nose or hump nose. Also, maybe because the hospital itself has a preferred style of surgical form, all the review photos looked similar. Looking at this hospital, it was the first time I felt, ah, since people are doing this, it can change depending on the doctor’s values. In my subjective opinion, this place seemed to want a typical refined Gangnam style. I don’t know much about plastic surgery... Anyway, I personally like a natural look, so I only had the consultation and left. I consulted with the chief director, and it was the type of consultation where it was a bit hard to ask detailed questions, but if you want a refined, flashy Gangnam style, I really think it would be good to at least get a consultation here.
4. ㅈㅇㅈㅇ I think I was really unlucky here. I had a truly unpleasant and upsetting consultation. The consulting manager called me in and asked what I wanted to do, so I said I wanted my nose done. Then she looked roughly on her own, made an estimate, added an absurd price and every procedure that existed or didn’t exist, and said, “You can think of it around this much, and since you’re going to think it over anyway, I’ll schedule the doctor consultation when you come next time,” and ended the consultation. This is the actual situation with genuinely 100% no exaggeration. I think maybe they were busy that day, or maybe men don’t usually do it as much, but I couldn’t help feeling offended. Still, there were a lot of waiting customers, and it is a fairly famous place. Maybe they just didn’t like me, or I’m choosing to believe they were highly experienced and could tell I had only come for a consultation, so they sent me off.
The swelling rose up toward my eyes on the first day, and on the second day it swelled so much I couldn’t open my eyes. It started going down from the third day, and from the fourth day, aside from swelling of the nose itself, all facial swelling was gone. The splint was removed exactly after one week, and except for the first 3 days, I lived without much major discomfort. After removing the splint, the skin on the nose is extremely dirty.. I think it would be good to prepare cleansing oil in advance.
Today is 4 weeks and 2 days after the plastic surgery. I had medial and lateral osteotomy + septal cartilage + silicone implant + alar base reduction, and honestly, the miraculous result I wanted still hasn’t appeared yet. But there must still be residual swelling, and what I liked most was that until I disclosed that I had plastic surgery, no one said I had had surgery. Instead, they said things like, “You got more handsome since I last saw you,” “Huh? Why did you get so handsome?” And after I disclosed the surgery, they showed reactions that were genuinely shocking, so I’m satisfied.
Also, if you’re thinking about plastic surgery, make sure you decide on the shape you want, explain it in detail, and then get surgery.
If the hospital initials are a problem, please let me know right away and I’ll edit them.
