Six years ago, I got non-incisional double-eyelid surgery from the head doctor at a hospital in Seomyeon that advertised like crazy. It felt off from the consultation.. When I tried to ask the doctor something during the consultation, he spoke as if to say, “There are plenty of people who will do it even if you don’t, so don’t annoy me with questions and just do as I say.” ㅜㅜ I was scared. I was a high school student at the time, and because it was very cheap as an event price, I decided and had the surgery. I went into surgery, got anesthesia, wandered around space for a long time, and when I woke up, I was still in the operating room and they were stitching my eyes. Meanwhile, I heard the doctor talking about the next surgery (breast surgery), and something felt off.. Anyway, the surgery ended like that and recovery went well. Then after just 2 months, my eyes completely came undone ㅠㅠㅠ When I went back, they said that can happen (even though it came undone in 2 months..) and offered revision surgery, so I had surgery again and lived thinking it really wouldn’t come undone now, but it came undone again after half a year..ㅋㅋㅋㅋ But since I was in my senior year of high school, I couldn’t get double-eyelid surgery right away, and after the college entrance exam I had a third surgery again at the same hospital.. I basically paid money to buy pain..ㅠㅠ Then about 8 months? later, it came undone again, so I didn’t want to do it there anymore, and since I was living in Seoul, I went around consulting and had my 4th surgery at another hospital.. According to the doctor at that Seoul hospital, the non-incisional method done in Seomyeon was completely outdated. They said even if it hadn’t been me, it was a method that wouldn’t last more than a few years for most peopleㅠㅠ And when I had it done in Seomyeon, it hurt so, so much afterward, but the revision-revision-revision surgery I had in Seoul didn’t hurt at all.. The catch is that this Seoul hospital also turned out well, but the design isn’t to my tasteㅋㅋㅋㅋ Still, it hasn’t come undone for 4 years, so I’m satisfiedㅠㅠ What I really want to say is 1. If the doctor feels off, don’t do it at that hospital 2. For revision surgery, definitely go to a different hospital 3. Don’t do it because of ads or because it’s cheap (revision surgery costs at least twice the first surgery, usually three times, and the expensive ones have no limitㅠ)
