I had LASEK surgery in 2019 and have been living well up to now. I do have a bit of dry eye, but it’s not severe, and only when it’s dry, like in winter, my eyes feel just a little stiff in the morning! It stayed at 1.0 until recently, but because I do a lot of computer work and look only at things up close every day, it dropped slightly to 0.8 (This is because I use my phone every day with the lights off, so I have nothing to say.) After getting LASEK, I wondered why on earth I hadn’t done it sooner, and my quality of life changed. And saving on contact lens costs is also really, really nice! The pain seems to vary from person to person. In my case, I did it with my older sister, and I had no pain at all from the first day, only a slightly stiff feeling until day 3, and after that I felt nothing. My sister who did it with me was tearing up until day 3. Right after LASEK, your vision is low, but over about a month it goes up to 1.0! You start seeing distant things well first, and then nearby things also start becoming clear. I definitely recommend it!
