It has already been 3 months since I had ptosis correction at Lowell Plastic Surgery Clinic! After living with an undone-looking eye for a long time, I came to the mistaken belief that it was fine as it was. In the mirror, I definitely looked like I just had slightly uneven eyes that didn’t stand out much, but in photos my eyes looked twisted in all directions. That was when I finally realized reality lol The reason I hadn’t had revision surgery earlier was because of hives on my eyelid area caused by allergies. As hives came up, red inflammation with itching spread, and of all places it appeared on my upper eyelid, so the skin layer became thicker, there was discharge, and there were many days when I couldn’t even open my eyes properly (Later, when I heard from the doctor, the reason one of my eyes came undone was 99.9% likely to be this allergy..) Because of that, I thought that even if I had revision surgery in this eye condition, it would be hard to have symmetric double eyelid surgery because of the already thickened skin layer and discharge, so I kept putting it off, and 4-5 years passed. The eye where the allergy, which was my biggest concern and problem, had flared up would obviously be different from the other eye, so whether symmetry could be matched was my biggest concern. When I told Director Kim Jae-yoon about these feelings during the consultation, he explained while drawing the line as if it was nothing difficult, and I think that was when I felt, this is the hospital. Even though I annoyingly asked questions until I understood, the kind director even drew pictures while explaining,, Now, 3 months have already passed since surgery, and I’m living very satisfied. Looking at photos, I realized that seeing matching pupils is the most natural and pretty look. At the same time, people’s attention shifted from my uneven eyes to my natural double eyelids, and I’m receiving a lot of compliments. They were surprised that the swelling went down so quickly, but I think it may have gone down quickly because I went to work right away and moved around a lot! Of course, I applied my medicine well and took it well so the surgical area wouldn’t get inflamed haha Acquaintances who watched my surgical progress right next to me asked a lot about hospital information and postoperative care information, and I felt proud for no reason, as if I had become someone affiliated with the hospital, so I left each piece of information for them on KakaoTalk. (I went straight to work without using even one vacation day!) In reality, among the acquaintances around me, many have already had surgery or received consultations! Then I thought it would be nice if more people saw this, so I ended up writing this post. I wrote it so disjointedly that it became a long post, but I wanted to share how I feel because I had a lot I wanted to say~
