Even though I live in Gyeongnam, I had the mindset that plastic surgery should be done in Gangnam, so I drove more than 900 km round trip and had surgery right after a nose consultation. After the rhinoplasty, my husband drove me straight back home. Of course, I couldn’t get disinfection done, and I had the stitches removed at a plastic surgery clinic in Changwon. At first, my nose was too high, blunt, and looked like a pig nose, so I contacted the plastic surgery clinic, but they only told me it would come down and to wait. Even after 2 months, the answer I got was still to wait.. After about 2 and a half months, I could visibly see my nose becoming crooked. Still, their attitude was like, it’s fine, if you feel uneasy then come in or whatever.. So I took an early-morning train and went.. Doctor said: The nose isn’t that crooked, but contracture has developed, so take contracture medication for 3 months, and then we’ll decide whether to do revision surgery or not. Me: The nose shape is completely different from what I originally wanted, so I’m definitely going to have revision surgery. That day, since there were other people watching, I came out as if I’d been chased out.
The problem is that from right after the rhinoplasty until now, yellow, foul-smelling lumps of pus have been coming out of my nose, but the manager kept saying it can happen for up to 6 months, so I didn’t think much of it. Then after I got back home, I asked when on earth this would get better, and suddenly they called and said, why didn’t you tell us, come immediately to have it removedㅡㅡ Turns out the manager had changed in the meantime.. How am I supposed to go that distance immediately? Then come tomorrow. I can’t go tomorrow either. Then when can you come? It needs to be removed. I said I’d go on Saturday, and they told me to go to an ENT and get antibiotics.
When I went to the ENT, it was even more shocking.. They said I had surgery with septal cartilage + silicone, but it turned out I had surgery with Medpor + silicone..
They kept saying until the end that Medpor has no side effects and that silicone causes inflammationㅡㅡ What makes me angry is that whether the cause of the inflammation is Medpor or silicone, why didn’t they tell me even after the surgery, and on the surgical chart, it was even written that ear cartilage + silicone were used.
As someone self-employed, every time I go, with 200,000 won for transportation, other expenses, and lost store sales, you can basically consider at least 1 million won gone..
My current nose has had the originally high nasal bridge completely osteotomized, so there is no glabella area at all, and the nasal tip is insanely high, so I can’t even move my philtrum, and when I put on makeup, the area around my nose feels tight and all lifts off.. The doctor also admitted the nasal tip is too high. Even so, they told me to pay the anesthesia fee for revision surgery. They said we’ll see how much the anesthesia fee is at that time~
