I’m going to leave a review about 2 years after surgery. I had consultations at about three or four places, and there was a doctor who had written papers and was quite well-known in LASIK, so I had it done there. During the hospital exam, the machines were also the newest, but during the consultation, I couldn’t meet the director who would do the surgery. Another doctor checked my eyes, and the manager discussed the price with me.
Anyway, on the day of surgery, I have dry eye syndrome, so until the day before surgery I diligently used artificial tears and eye drops (almost once every 5 minutes), and people who didn’t use them diligently actually weren’t allowed to have surgery that day.
There were tons of patients, like a factory, and I couldn’t get the surgery at the scheduled time. I had a few more tests, waited a bit, and then went into surgery. Before surgery, they mark dots on your eyes with something like a pen. I had to keep my eyes open for a long time, so I kept blinking, and the director got angry and scolded me, so I felt a bit upset ㅠㅠ heh But the surgery ended safely and well, and it felt like the surgery time was almost just 10 minutes.
Right after surgery, I could see extremely well right away, which was very surprising, and after surgery they said I had to keep putting in eye drops once every 5 minutes, so it was really hard ㅠ Because I have dry eye syndrome, I used them for even longer, and I think I used them for almost a year ㅠ It was really, seriously exhausting...
But after surgery, they said the director was going on a business trip, so my attending doctor changed after just one week..^^.. Around about a year later, I suddenly received care from that director again, and then they stopped contacting me separately for hospital appointments. It changed so that I could only schedule an appointment if I contacted them later myself. Is it usually like this..?
And now it’s been about 2 years. I can see extremely well, but sometimes I see something like threads? I saw them from right after surgery, and there used to be a lot, but it has decreased. I got examined, and they said it disappears as time passes, so I’ll wait and hope it gets a bit better.
Still, my current vision was corrected well, and compared with before, my eyesight doesn’t seem to deteriorate easily. To summarize, they weren’t kind, but the effect wasn’t bad.
