It was in the level-up requirements, so I'm writing this for now!!
I'm male, and it's been almost about 1 year since the surgery.
It was my first surgery, and I had it done at ㄷㄴ. Looking at the review photos, the natural look was totally my style.
I thought writing mainly about what I had been curious about might help everyone a bit!!
1. Motivation for surgery? : Before surgery, it wasn't severe, but I had a slight hump. I didn't like that my nasal tip was blunt and, when I smiled, it stretched more than twice as much and looked ugly + I originally had chronic rhinitis, and whenever I went to ENT for treatment, they said my septum was deviated and that surgery would be better, so I did it while I was at it. Honestly, like everyone else, it might be better to think of it as having more reasons since I was going to do it anywayㅋㅋㅋ
2. Surgical method and desired design? : Surgical method: Shaved the hump while performing nasal bridge osteotomy (a reduction concept?), corrected the deviated septum, built up the nasal tip with septal cartilage, and added a little AlloDerm to the overall line. Reason: They said my nasal bridge was already on the higher side, so I didn't necessarily need to do it, and before surgery they did a virtual makeover with Photoshop; the version where only the nasal tip was raised without building up the bridge was the style I wanted. Personally, I was very worried because there is a lot of talk this way and that about AlloDerm, but based on what I experienced over the past year, just as the doctor said, absolutely nothing happened. I had quite a strong aversion to silicone implants. They are pretty, of course, but I heard the body recognizes them as a foreign substance, and since I like drinking, I thought perfect management would be difficult. I was worried about possible side effects. So the director suggested doing it that way, and I liked it too, so I said okay! and proceeded.
3. Characteristics of the director? : He somehow resembles a Tibetan fox, and his actual way of speaking has the kind of dryness that makes you think this is what it would feel like if you talked to a Tibetan fox.. He has this very expressionless vibe.. But if you ask him something, he answers everything exactly as asked. So I felt a bit unsure, but then I watched a video on the website of him appearing on a broadcast, and he was exactly the same. If anything, he looked even more awkward.. For some reason I keep wanting to surprise him. Seriously, can't I try it just once
4. Satisfaction? : Since I'm a man, I wanted something natural, and it was really natural, so only the sharp-eyed people around me noticed properly, and everyone else just thought, did he get something like filler because he somehow got better-looking? and moved on. But when I look in the mirror, I feel like I changed quite a bit, so it was interesting that people didn't notice. Especially since I hid it from my parents, and I met them after 2 months and they didn't notice, which was the most interesting. How thick are my parents' rose-colored glasses that they thought I was already that good-looking? Hahaha... Anyway, as someone who didn't want people around me to find out, I was highly satisfied because I myself felt I had changed a lot. Even now, 1 year later, my satisfaction is the same. I think it's because the shape hasn't changed much, and because no implant was put in, so that also gives me peace of mind.
5. How long until it looked natural? : Hmm.. Bruising and swelling lasted about 2 weeks. I think it took about a month and a half for my usual facial appearance to look natural. It took about 4 months for my expressions to move freely. I diligently drank pumpkin juice and jogged diligently. There was an incision on the columella area, and the redness from the incision lasted a bit long, you know? I think it lasted about 3 months. Now the scar is barely visible, and anyway there are no obvious areas. As long as no one pokes only my nasal tip with their hand.
6. Disappointments : Maybe because I went natural, there is still this subtle lingering thought of, ah, if only this part were a little better... For example, the nasal bridge area? Right now it's a natural straight line, but I personally feel it would look more handsome if the nasal bridge came up just a little more. So I recently asked the hospital, and they said if I didn't have an implant inserted, it was okay to get filler. So I got filler in the nasal bridge at another hospital, and they said that if someone has had rhinoplasty, getting too much can cause necrosis, and I think they said it was because if the columella was opened during surgery, blood vessels could have been cut, or something like that. Anyway, I got 1.5 cc of nasal bridge filler, and I felt exactly like, ah, this is enough. So since the hospital where I had my nose surgery also does Artecoll, I decided that when this filler is all gone, I should get Artecoll. They say human desire has no end, and after I do all this, I think I'll probably try to do something else again..ㅋㅋㅋ
6. If I were to recommend it? : If you pursue naturalness, I would like to recommend the place I went to. Post-op care was also decent. But there are many nose reviews and not many reviews for other things, so other than nose, I'm not sure. For noses, I think you can trust them with it!
It got long because I kept rambling.ㅎㅎ
