Consultation 4 years ago.. there were ㅅㅍㄹㅅ, ㄱㄹ, and one more place, but I can't remember.. I also looked into clinics known for doing good outer corner canthoplasty. I liked soft, droopy eyes...(but my own eyes don't tilt up haha) I didn't have the courage for cosmetic surgery, so I put it off for about a year and a half.
In the end, I looked for clinics again. I decided to go with the clinic my friend had gone to. I hesitated because it was expensive... but after seeing my friend's results over 1-2 years lol, I thought it turned out the best among the people around me, so I decided on it! The aftercare is good too! (For reference, I'm in my early 30s)
Friend (no double eyelids) _ inner corner canthoplasty + outer corner canthoplasty + buried double eyelid + correction She had 4 procedures.. and it doesn't show at all. The downside is that she went through every possible complication, so it seemed like she had a rough 4 weeks.. for 2 weeks the bruise and some kind of eye discharge (?) didn't go away and kept coming back, so in the end it burst and she ended up with a bloodshot red rabbit-eye look.. But the conclusion was that it was pretty. After the surgery, the eyes somehow looked more corrected? like wide-open eyes, so she had a second surgery to loosen them a little again (no extra cost) After 3 years, one eye's buried double eyelid came undone, and when she went back, there was no extra charge..
After seeing my friend, I decided to go too. The doctor was straightforward and decisive! He took photos and pinpointed exactly which surgery was needed. He clearly said this was definitely the answer. (At the consultation 2 years before the surgery, he said the same thing haha: buried double eyelid + inner corner epicanthoplasty! Exactly! My eye-opening strength is a little weak, but he said correction wasn't necessary; if done wrong, I'd end up with wide-open angry eyes.. no need to spend money on it) I wanted outer corner canthoplasty, but at ㅅㅍㄹㅅ or maybe ㄱㄹ.. one place said they would do it if I wanted, but another place said absolutely not for my eyes. They said I should become prettier, not look dumb.. it was the kind of eye they strongly advised against. No matter where I went, the recommended surgery after consultation was similar.. seems like my eyes had a clear answer! Inner corner epicanthoplasty + buried double eyelid.. one or two places said correction was needed too. Anyway, the surgery I ended up having was buried double eyelid + inner corner epicanthoplasty. I already had a double eyelid, but the distance between my eyebrows and eyes was wide. They said to do 2 mm + 2 mm for the inner corner, but I asked them to keep it under 1.5 mm + 1.5 mm (I was worried my impression would change and look weird.. I'm in my 30s, but it was my first cosmetic surgery..) For the buried double eyelid thickness, they followed the original line I already had, making the front a bit higher.. (I regret it.. I should have made it thicker.. I should have listened to the coordinator and the doctor.. I didn't want to be greedy because I was scared of getting sausage eyes, but after the inner corner was opened up, my eyes looked more refreshed, so a slightly thicker line would probably have been prettier) During the surgery.. I was anesthetized, but I could hear the doctor's voice and the nurses singing.. I could also hear the buzzing sound from the clamps used on my toes and fingers to check my pulse and do the surgery haha. So I was scared.. I was terrified that even though I could hear everything, I wouldn't wake up from the anesthesia and would end up like a vegetative person.. I could even feel which side they were working on, left or right haha. With all the worries about illegal proxy surgery that are an issue these days, this place was completely out of the question lol. I was trembling from all the worries, and as the anesthesia slowly wore off, the doctor kept asking me to open and close my eyes, and then finished up and it ended successfully. Strangely.. it didn't hurt at all (though I'm usually pretty good at تحملing pain) More than the pain, I worried about going to work and whether my eyes would be asymmetrical and look strange. Because of the complications my friend had, I was really anxious.. since I had to go to work, tears But.. I had zero complications. Just a little bruise under the eye. No swelling either lololol For work, I took 5 days off, had surgery after getting off work on Friday evening, and then rested Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and went back to work on day 10. When I wore makeup, it didn't show. You could only tell if you stared closely. The day after surgery I went in for disinfection, and on day 5 I went in to remove the inner corner stitches (each visit included a laser treatment for recovery). They provided bruise cream and swelling cream haha. When I said it was hard to come in and asked for several at once, they gave me a few.. (thank you) I think they asked me to come back for a follow-up maybe a month later.. or 3 months later.. my memory is fuzzy. When I visited, they said the upper eyelid at the inner corner had sagged a bit. They said only one eye would need to be fixed.. (I honestly didn't know what the problem was.. I was already so satisfied..) They said if I wanted, I could set a date and get it fixed, and if it didn't bother me, I didn't have to do it. To be honest, it didn't bother me, but once they mentioned it, I just did it anyway lol. Of course, there was no extra cost, and they gave me bruise cream and swelling cream.. It was a slight? local anesthesia procedure and was over in 10 minutes, so there was almost no bruising or swelling. I remember taking 1-2 days off over the weekend.
Anyway, the initial surgery was expensive, but I was very satisfied. Seeing my eyes, a friend of a friend went there too.. haha And another close friend went there and had incisional surgery for eyes whose buried double eyelid had come undone 10 years earlier (since this friend had incisional surgery, the bruising was severe, really black, but after 2 weeks, once she put on makeup, the bruise got a bit better. Since she was a friend who had barely any swelling or bruising even with buried double eyelid surgery back in high school, her recovery after cosmetic surgery seems to be good. Me, with just a little bruising and no swelling, the friend who had the first surgery and went through all kinds of complications for 4 weeks (mentioned above), and the incisional friend too haha. Bruising, swelling, eye discharge, these things really seem to vary person to person.) lol
A coworker's daughter is also going there, so she went to look into the clinic! It's such a popular clinic, and there's only one doctor doing eye surgery, so it was really hard to get a consultation date... I was worried that the aftercare wouldn't be good after surgery, but later all the follow-up appointments after surgery were arranged smoothly~ The care after the surgery was even kinder and better, so I was happy.
