I had surgery last week. I had canthoplasty in 4 areas total: inner, upper, outer, and lower.
I haven’t even had the stitches removed yet, but if I briefly write only what I felt:
<Cons> 1. It hurt so much because they didn’t give me sleep anesthesia when administering anesthesia. I tensed up so much that later I got slight bruising under my eyes and conjunctival edema ㅠㅠ (It seems some people did have sleep anesthesia, so make sure to request sleep anesthesia during the consultation or before surgery)
2. The doctor doesn’t seem to do a design drawing (no drawing on the face), but checks and designs during the surgery I haven’t had the stitches removed yet, but the inner corners of both eyes are very slightly different (only I know....)
3. They say they did 4 areas: inner, upper, outer, and lower, but honestly I can’t tell the upper canthoplasty at all.... (Maybe it’s because I have some fat on my upper eyelids) ... but... thinking that I got inner, outer, and lower done for the price of outer canthoplasty is comforting ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
<Pros> 1. The low price, as mentioned right above For the price of outer canthoplasty at another hospital, you can have 4 areas done (though to me it feels like 3 areas)
2. There don’t seem to be side effects from outer canthoplasty (the outer corner of the eye becoming shaped like ‘ㄷ’) Usually when doing outer canthoplasty, they incise the outer corner of the eye, but ㄹㅍㄹ preserves the outer corner and works(?) behind the outer corner of the eye I don’t know the principle, but there is an outer canthoplasty and lower canthoplasty effect ㅋㅋㅋ
3. Almost no swelling It would be a lie to say there was no swelling immediately after surgery, and it swelled to the point where it looked like there was some extra flesh around my eyes... (Since I already had a lot of flesh, it swelled like I had a slight eye infection....) After the surgery, I came home and iced it, and the swelling was almost gone in a day or two
(feat. On the day of surgery, definitely bring a hat... I didn’t bring one, so I walked while only looking at the ground... My confidence and mentality dropped too, and I barely dragged myself down to the subway underground level.... I still haven’t made it back above ground)
