Nose revision surgery 3 times Donor costal cartilage removal 1 time Once for disinfecting inside the nose because of inflammation symptoms... I don’t know how many times my nose has been openedㅠ
So far, I’ve had a total of three revision surgeries 1st surgery: 13 years ago, because my nose was low, I had silicone and septal cartilage used 2nd surgery: 3 years later, the nose from the first surgery was too low, so I decided on revision surgery. Had L-shaped silicone. . . . As time went on, my philtrum got longer And from the end of 2016, whenever I drank alcohol, my nasal bridge started to hurt The pig-nose shape was such a complex for me that after a lot of thought, I decided on revision surgery
*April 1, 2017, 3rd revision surgery: done with donor costal cartilage and ear cartilage
-I was curious about the area that hurt when I drank alcohol, but they said there was nothing wrong inside after surgery.
-Around May 3, 2017, my nose felt swollen and hot, so I went to the hospital, got IV fluids for 3 days, and was prescribed medication.
-Around June 27, the nasal ala became red, painful to the touch, and hot, so I visited the hospital again, got IV fluids for several days, and was prescribed medication, but they said if it didn’t settle down, the implant would have to be removed
-On July 1, my nose was very swollen and painful, so I eventually had the costal cartilage removed (The ear cartilage was mine, so I just left it in. Since I barely had any nose to begin with, I thought it would be bad to remove even that, so I kept it.)
-On July 23, my nostrils became smaller, only my pinky could barely fit in, and the holes started changing so that one side was long and the other side was round
-As my nose gradually got lower and started turning up, I went to the hospital in September and was diagnosed with contracture. The manager and doctor in charge had left, so a new manager became the person in charge, and I chose the doctor myself
-They said surgery would be possible only after the tissue hardened by contracture loosened. They said I might have to wait as long as 2 years, but if fat was taken out and put into the nose, it would loosen well, so I decided to do fat grafting about 7 times. I started in October and had a total of five fat grafts up to yesterday, March 22. Yesterday they touched it and said my nose had become very soft, and I heard that surgery should be possible now.
The time that felt like it would never pass has passed until I heard those words... So next week, while removing the stitches from the thigh where fat was taken, I’m going to set the surgery date again.... Then it’ll be my fourth surgeryㅠ This time they say they’ll use my own costal cartilage and dermis, but I saw a post saying that if skin is taken from the buttocks and used, it lowers quickly.. This is a big problem.. I’m glad to have surgery, but I’m scared.. I wish I had just not touched it. Why did I touch it and go through all this suffering..
After first removing the implant, I was almost depressed and didn’t even go outside From that hot summer until now, I don’t go out without a mask.. I don’t want to see people. Even at work, I wear a mask and work, using allergies as an excuse.. Sigh.. Nose contracture and nasal inflammation, things I’d only heard about, happened to me too.. At first, I really wanted to jump out of the hospital window..
But I’m still anxious about whether it’s right to do it again at this hospital.. If only I hadn’t gotten inflammation, it really would have been okay I want to turn back time ㅠㅠ
I’ll probably have surgery in a month or two. I’ll leave a review then too
I hope everyone has surgery without failure.
And if there are people with experience in costal cartilage or autologous dermis surgery, or people scheduled for surgery like me, I’d like advice or.... to share information
