ㅁㅇㅁㄷㄱ Soft Cheekbone Surgery, 6 Months

I had surgery on 2/2, and now it has finally been 6 months. I lurked and gathered information in a community for about a year, and had surgery at Cheongdam Miinmandeulgi. I gained information too, so I’m leaving this post to share mine.

My cheekbones weren’t big. They weren’t severely prominent, but when I took selfies or looked in the mirror, I didn’t like my 45-degree angle. Once it started bothering me, it kept bothering me.. People around me said I didn’t have cheekbones and asked why I would do it, but cosmetic surgery is about self-satisfaction.ㅠㅠ

For intraoral incision, because of cheek sagging, I felt like I might have to live with lifting procedures, and since I’m sensitive by nature, I thought I’d worry, suffer over it, keep looking in the mirror later, and get way too stressed. So among cheekbone surgery clinics that don’t use intraoral incision, I had ㄹㅋㅋ and ㅁㅇㅁㄷㄱ as candidates.

I went to ㄹㅋㅋ first, but in my case, they said I wouldn’t see much effect on my cheekbones, so I went to Miinmandeulgi, my second candidate, for a consultation. The director said they could definitely bring them in, so I booked right away on the day of the consultation.

After searching this community and Googling for nearly a year, I chose it because there seemed to be no side effects, and because it was a minimal-incision method, to worry less about cheek sagging.

I decided on surgery because of the 45-degree angle, and I didn’t have any desire to reduce the side cheekbones, but looking at old photos, they were slightly protruding after all. Now not only the 45-degree area but also the side cheekbones are all refined, and I look younger. I’m completely very satisfied. I should have done it even one year earlier ㅠㅠ

Anyway, I had surgery because I got stressed every time I looked in the mirror, but now even when I take selfies, I don’t need to Photoshop my face shape, and somehow I feel more refined? I look younger. Maybe because I also had fat grafting, with my forehead and slightly hollow anterior cheeks filled and the cheekbones brought in, I really like my face shape.

My face was originally kind of?? smaller than others, but now I hear people say, “Wow, your face is really small,” a lot. When taking selfies, I don’t even think about my cheekbones anymore.

What I felt is that because it is non-fixation, early aftercare is really important. If you’re going to eat everything you want like chewing meat, tough foods, and so on, don’t do it. Because it is non-fixation, you need to make an effort to manage it yourself while the bones are uniting ㅠㅠ

Honestly, it’s a bit hard to hold back your appetite, but after 2 months, you can start with meat and eat regular meals. Until then, I mainly ate foods that required almost no chewing, such as porridge, soy milk, soft tofu, drinkable jelly, pressing crab sticks with my tongue to eat them, steamed egg, and so on. Around the time I was getting tired of it, I tried variations like putting pasta sauce into porridge and boiling it, adding cheese to make risotto.. I made meals focused on things I could avoid chewing as much as possible. I was really careful. If you manage it well early on and the bone union goes well, you can eat as much as you want later without worrying ^^

Before surgery, eat as much meat, tteokbokki, and everything else you want, and go into the surgery firmly prepared.

If you can manage the first two months strictly, I think it is a really good surgery among cheekbone surgeries. I’m planning to get a CT scan later. As of now, there are no problems, no sounds, I eat everything, there is no cheek sagging, and not a single issue, so I feel like I don’t need a CT scan, but I’m curious, so I plan to get one.

I usually hate writing posts, but I tried to put effort into writing my experience ㅋㅋ I also got a lot of information from this community~~

Before surgery, I visited this community several times a day.. I looked in the mirror and worried, but now I’ve had surgery, fully recovered, and live forgetting I even had surgery. It’s so, so good.

I hope everyone who is debating this chooses a good clinic that suits them well and succeeds. Fighting!!!!
