Because of my prominent cheekbones and square jaw, whenever I took photos, my broad facial contour was a complex for meㅠ After thinking about it for years, I finally had some leeway, so I decided to have surgery at a well-known place and everything moved forward quickly. I didn't tell people around me. It was something I myself wanted so much, and I was afraid people around me would try to stop me haha. This time I scheduled my vacation so I could take 10 days off, and I had surgery yesterday.
Day 1 - I couldn't sleep the night before and went early in the morning. After the consultation, I got on the operating table around 9:30, and before I even had time to feel nervous, I woke up in the recovery room. It didn't hurt, but there was discomfort from the blood drain and the facial band. I was half-asleep as the anesthesia was wearing off and wanted to rest, but they reclined me at 45 degrees, had me take deep breaths, and said they were clearing out what was in my lungs, so they wouldn't let me sleep until 7:30, which was hard. I couldn't drink water either, and sometimes I had nosebleeds (they said when you have cheekbone surgery, pooled blood can come out), so I endured it while watching TVㅠ Fortunately, while I was distracted by the TV, the nurse came and asked if the nausea had lessened. I said yes, so she let me drink water an hour early. When I drank lukewarm water, it all leaked out through my lower lip, so I barely managed to drink by placing tissues there. I deliberately tried to move around, so I often went to drink water and also went to the bathroom. I got painkiller injections, swelling-control injections, antibiotic injections... The nurse came often to check on me. There wasn't pain, but it was uncomfortable and my lower back hurt, so I couldn't really sleep sitting up. I slept off and on while waking up, drinking water, going to the bathroom, and changing ice packs.
Day 2 - I guess there aren't many facial contouring reviews because it's difficult. I usually swell a lot, so I was prepared for it. On the first day, it was just the level of swelling from sleeping a lot, but overnight my lower lip and lower jaw gradually swelled up, and I ended up with a frog face. I got painkillers and picked up medication, so it still doesn't hurt, but there is discomfort. I also have a slight bruise on my lower jaw. In the morning, the director checked my condition and told me the surgery went well. He said I need to remove the blood drain and use ice packs properly. While going through discharge procedures, I received precautions and a prescription, but there is still a lot to do. For now, I bought medicine and mouthwash, ate porridge, took the medicine, and am resting while using mouthwash and ice packs. I put on the compression band, then briefly take it off to allow blood circulation, and I use mouthwash every two hours, so even while resting I'm busy. Later tonight, I'm going to take a walk and do swelling care. It is hard, but I'm happy because I feel like I accomplished something bigㅠ I just need to endure a little moreㅠ I'll post the rest of the reviews soon!!
