Orthodontic treatment took a total of 3 and a half years.. (I was on the very slow side) It cost about 5 million won in total at a dental clinic near Gangnam Station, and I had 4 teeth extracted, including wisdom teeth. I had malocclusion and a bit of a protruding lower jaw, so in my second year of orthodontic treatment I had lower jaw surgery at a university hospital, and the cost was 10 million won... expensive, right Still, because I had it done at a university hospital, they provided good follow-up care, and I trusted them. After about one month of rest (after lower jaw surgery, there is a lot of bruising and swelling on both cheeks and the lower face If you wait about a month, the bruising gradually goes away and it looks natural!), I continued orthodontic treatment for about 1 and a half years, and recently I have been wearing only retainers without wires.
