Maybe it’s thanks to spending over a month going around to consultations, but even though it hasn’t even been 10 hours since surgery ended, for now I’m satisfied! For about a month, I practically lived in this community, and while going to consultations I saw a lot of posts saying there would be a clinic that suits you. I thought I had found one well early on, and I even paid a deposit.. But maybe I hadn’t found a clinic that suited me, and I just wanted to think that I had. After that, I went to three or four more consultations. I was scared and anxious, and I guess I wanted to drag it out a bit longer. The clinic I went to thinking, “This is really the last one,” really did turn out to be the one that suited me. In the end, I couldn’t get my deposit back, but so far I’m satisfied with my nose :) More than anything, I like that it was non-implant the most! Out of a total of 7 places, this was the only one that recommended non-implant surgery.
My nasal bridge isn’t on the low side (though it isn’t high either), so they said let’s just do the nasal tip with ear cartilage, but since my nasal dorsum is wide, I asked for osteotomy, so as far as I know I had ear-cartilage nasal tip + osteotomy + nasolabial angle + rotation graft.
The sedation didn’t continue until the surgery was over, and except for very brief moments, I was awake the whole time, so it was scary, but in the end I really want to take the splint off soon!! But I don’t think I could do this twice ㅎㅅㅎ..
For those having surgery, I hope you go to lots of consultations, find the best surgical method, and that everything goes well!
