Two years ago, I had surgery at ㅎㅍㅅ, which is famous for calf reduction surgery! The pain was worse than I expected, so I even cried during the surgery.. After the surgery, I had no strength at all in my calf muscles, so I remember it was hard to take even one step at a time. I think the price was around 2.5 million won? It takes about 1-2 months after surgery for your gait to become somewhat natural. A friend I was walking arm-in-arm with even asked why I was limping. The effect gradually appeared within 2 weeks and lasted for 1 year, but since it’s a muscle you keep using, it slowly recurred. After that, I also got calf Botox twice (once a year. The Botox effect seems to last about 5 months), and now I just manage it by stretching and eating fewer high-sodium foods. I think it’s true when people say calves are in the realm of God...
