Cheekbone Surgery Reviews@cheekbone-review

6-month review of long-curve zygoma surgery

I’m a few days away from 6 months.

Honestly, I thought I would look very dramatically different after facial contouring, but it’s more like my impression softened a bit? That’s about it. I originally had quite a bit of fat across my whole face, so I was really worried about cheek sagging. I worried, what if it sags really noticeably? Hmm. I do think the fat that used to be around my cheekbones and jaw has moved down toward the center of my face, making it a little rounder, but because the angles of my cheekbones and jaw are gone and the central part of my face has become slightly rounder, I think it also makes me look younger. I’m in my mid-20s, but I used to look a bit older than my age, and now I think people see me as a little younger.

I actually already had a double chin before surgery, so after a little more time, maybe around winter, I’m planning to get liposuction for my double chin and the slight sagging around my cheeks to make a sharper jawline.

Honestly, for the first month after surgery, I was terribly scared. Rather than “Ah, it hurts so much!” it was more psychological fear, like what if the surgery went wrong, what if I get side effects, what if the swelling doesn’t go down.

This community has a lot of good points, but during recovery, I read so many posts related to surgery that without realizing it, I became more scared and anxious, so there was even a time when I stopped coming to the community for a while. When looking at too much information, please don’t scare yourself preemptively by thinking, “Ah, maybe I’m like that too, maybe this is a side effect?” If you really think there is a problem, go to the hospital, and if not, I think slowly waiting for recovery is also a good approach.

I still haven’t regained all sensation and there are areas that tingle, but I try to mind-control myself by believing it will come back, and even if it doesn’t, there’s no major discomfort, so let’s live with peace of mind!

The same goes for other surgeries, but facial contouring is a surgery that can truly have many side effects. I worried a lot too, but it varies by person, and if you truly have a complex about it, I think it’s not a bad idea to go through with surgery even while accepting the risks.

There wasn’t a huge amount of change, but I’m satisfied in my own way. Before surgery, I thought I’d regret it if I did it and regret it if I didn’t, so rather than regretting my whole life without ever trying, I decided, whatever. Let’s do it!ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

When I was lying on the operating table, I also wanted to run out.

For those who are about to have surgery, I hope you make the right choice that is good for you, and for those recovering, I hope you don’t get too scared, keep taking good care of yourself, and end up with a pretty face shape.

+After surgery, my dental occlusion didn’t fit, so for a month I was really scared, thinking something had gone wrong. I also couldn’t feel sensation at all on the right side of my face, and my cheekbone would sometimes hurt and give me headaches. Each time that happened, I immediately made an appointment and went to the hospital for a consultation, but they always told me that if I waited a little longer, everything would come back and that it was okay. Except for sensation being slightly dulled, I think everything has recovered. I wrote this because I understand so well how frightening it feels. I hope it helps!!
