<Before><When I had the splint on.. it was so stuffy I thought I’d lose my mind><After, side view><After><After, almost two months>First of all, my post is not recommending surgery. I’m posting because I want to help everyone who, like me, has been stressed for years or more because of their >>nose<<, changed their makeup methods, and endlessly thought about procedures, surgery, etc... while trying to overcome their own complex. Looking at the before photos, some of you might wonder a little why I got nose surgery, but first of all, that photo was after I had HIKO ^^.. (I don’t know how many threads there were lol.. that clinic didn’t even tell me before doing it.) Up to the one-year mark, I lived fairly~ satisfied, but it didn’t even last two years before the effect wore off.. My nose still looked very bulbous, and it was too low. When I went around for nose surgery consultations, I had certain requirements: 1. Cleanly remove the HIKO threads I had inserted 3 years ago 2. I absolutely hate a flashy nose where the nasal tip is pointy and only the nose stands out.. Design it to be moderately natural-glam, but with a rounded and slim nasal tip 3. Since I have a bulbous nose make the nasal tip slimmer That was about it, but as I went around to consultations..... one or two more requirements got added lol. First, because my nose was small and short, most clinics said my septal cartilage would be insufficient and recommended costal cartilage. But no matter how much I listened to explanations, I thought autologous costal cartilage was much better than donated rib cartilage. Donated rib cartilage felt uncomfortable because it’s from someone else... and I didn’t want to suffer mentally later worrying that it might droop.... Since autologous costal cartilage is mine, I thought it might be the safest. Honestly, my biggest hope was that my first surgery would be my last surgery. So I added more requirements: 4. Good aftercare system 5. A place that handles autologous costal cartilage surgery well For number 4, you can just ask the clinic, but honestly, number 5 is hard to distinguish?? Even when reading reviews, not everyone writes down every single material used, so it was harder to find. But as I went to consultations, I noticed that places truly confident in autologous costal cartilage surgery had a completely different AS system. I don’t know if other clinics have this too, but at least the clinic where I had surgery said they would even give a refund if the nasal tip drops within 3 months after surgery with autologous costal cartilage. Honestly, I’m of the view that dealing with things after surgery isn’t that useful, so that’s not what drew me in.. I liked that the director seemed that confident about autologous costal cartilage surgery. They also said the surgery time, including harvesting the autologous costal cartilage, was shorter than at other clinics, so recovery would be faster. And during the consultation, I showed several photos of the nose shape I wanted, right? Other clinics just glanced at the photos and went, “Ah~,” then designed it.. lol But here, before the consultation, they took photos of my nose and directly Photoshopped those photos to show me, which was really fascinating. Since it was done on my own photo, I remember it being easier to communicate somehow. Looking at their aesthetic sense, they seemed to catch things well? I think they understood the design quickly. After deciding on surgery, I stopped looking at all the reviews~ clinic websites~ related YouTube videos~ everything... I said this earlier haha. I didn’t want to mentally spiral over things that hadn’t even happened. And after surgery, I lived thinking I shouldn’t pay too much attention to swelling at least until the one-month mark. Everyone, even if it’s only been 1-2 weeks, don’t worry that your nose is too high.. For now, ple~~ase just wait.. Anyway, after nose surgery, the things that personally changed in my daily life were: 1. During the splint period, breathing only through my mouth was so stuffy.. Plain bottled water didn’t even relieve my thirst, so I lived with ion drinks by my side 2. When getting dressed, instead of tops I had to pull over my face, I only wore button-up tops.. Just in case I touched my nose while putting my face through something like a sweatshirt.... 3. I ended up looking at the autologous costal cartilage harvest scar every day lol Even if I tried not to care, I couldn’t help it.. But it’s not as big as I expected, and well.. aside from my abdomen feeling tight in the beginning, it didn’t hurt, so it’s okay I think that’s about it. Nothing seems to have changed drastically? It’s almost been two months now, and my nasal tip is still maintaining well. I said they Photoshopped my photo during the consultation, right? They sent me that photo through KakaoTalk, so I still have it. When I compare that photo with my current nose, they’re similar, but the actual surgery looks much prettier?? I liked the pre-surgery edited version too, but since it was an edit of my unattractive nose, the real surgery is better after all lol People often say you have to watch any plastic surgery for six months, and that one or two months is too early to call it stable, so I’m trying not to think too complacently too..... But honestly, since people around me keep saying my nose turned out well, the human heart is like ^^ I’m just enjoying my current state.. I don’t know.. After a few more months, I guess I’ll be able to say again how it is and whether it’s still okay.. But at least if I went back to the past, I don’t think I’d do something pointless like HIKO again
This is a surgical review pursuing a natural-glam look.
