After I was assaulted in middle school and got a fracture in the nasal bridge area, the hump got worse and worse as I grew up. At some point, when I looked at photos taken from the front, it was obvious at a glance that my nose was crooked to one side?? We agreed to set conditions and not go to any clinic that failed even one of them, and if we couldn’t find a clinic that met all the conditions, I’d just live like this! 1. An otolaryngology specialist must be working there (Shape matters too, but rhinitis comes first!) 2. It must be a clinic that pursues a natural nose shape (I’d heard in passing that each clinic has a nose shape they aim for.. I didn’t want a semi-natural glam or dramatic style at all) 3. It must be a clinic that does not perform many surgeries per day (Doctors are human too, so they must get tired while operating) 4. It must not be a large hospital (For a similar reason to No. 3, I thought that if they take many patients, it would be a bit hard to care for each person one by one. *This is an extremely personal opinion*) 5. Rhinoplasty must be done without implants (Worries about possible side effects if an implant is inserted, and concern that it would become less natural) So I searched everywhere online and in person and narrowed it down to 4 places (I really think I looked harder than when searching for a jeonse rental house) There was a clinic that said a crooked nose absolutely requires osteotomy, a clinic that suggested placing silicone because it would become bumpy even though I said I wanted it done without implants, and a clinic where, to me, during the consultation they seemed to teach me in a mocking way? So I felt intimidated and upset and wondered if I should just live like this. Then at the last one, Cheotdanchu, they said that for the crooked nose, while improving the nasal tip and refining the hump a bit, they thought they could align the direction straight, and while measuring the septal cartilage length shown on CT, they said the length was sufficient, so other cartilage probably wouldn’t be needed. They also showed me expected before-and-after photos of me with something like Photoshop?? and gave a very enthusiastic consultation! Since I had a high-bridged hump nose, they said leaving a little rather than shaving it completely off would look more natural for a male nose, and that really gave me trust, so I decided right away! It’s only been one month, but I really like the shape of my nose, and they said nasal tip swelling takes a long time to go down and gradually descends. Even taking that into account, I feel like it will look nice! In any case, could it get lower than my old nose, which my friend said looked like the tip would go into my mouth when I smiled??? The rhinitis surgery also seems to have gone well, and these days, breathing through both sides of my nose, I’m realizing the world is a place where everything smells so different!
