While looking for a hospital online, I saw a surgery review video on YouTube from ㄴㅌ Plastic Surgery, and it was the look I wanted, so I booked a consultation and went in. I had a CT scan, and consulted with both the consultant and the director. There was no excessive pressure; they only recommended the parts I needed and kindly answered my questions, so after the consultation I booked the surgery right away. Surgery day The surgery was done under general anesthesia, so I don’t remember anything from the operating room, but after the surgery ended and I woke up from anesthesia, I didn’t have cheekbone pain. However, I had pain around the lower jaw and felt nauseated from the sedation anesthesia, so I vomited all night and couldn’t sleep. By the time I was discharged, I felt much better, had the drain removed, took a CT scan, and they washed my hair, so I was discharged feeling refreshed. Day 1~Day 3 They said this would be the period when swelling happens, and the swelling definitely got worse as time passed. Since the swelling was the worst on day 3, I kept wearing the compression band and doing cold compresses. Day 4~Day 6 Starting on day 4, the swelling began to go down, so I started alternating between wearing and not wearing the compression band while doing warm compresses, and as time passed the swelling went down. Day 7 On day 7, the swelling in the upper face was almost gone, but the swelling near my lips had not fully gone down yet. I visited the hospital on day 7, had the stitches near the sideburns removed, received skin care, and was discharged. Day 8~13 The swelling noticeably went down as time passed, and from day 11 onward, it had decreased enough that there wasn’t much difference compared with before surgery. Day 14 It was the day to remove the intraoral stitches, so I visited the hospital. I was very nervous, but they sprayed anesthetic and removed them while letting me rest so it would hurt as little as possible, so it wasn’t as painful as I had worried and they came out well. Comparing before surgery with how I look now, my cheekbones have been smoothed out and my square jaw has also been refined, so I’m very satisfied.
