I had revision rhinoplasty with autologous costal cartilage, and for fat grafting, I had full-face grafting up to the 1st round. The scar color at the autologous costal cartilage donor site has become much lighter than before. It probably varies from person to person, but in my case, it took quite a while for the scar to fade. And when I looked it up, they say scar ointment is best applied after the wound has healed, so everyone who had autologous costal cartilage, if you apply it before it heals, that is absolutely not okay. You have to apply it after it heals! Still, seeing that my nasal tip has not drooped yet, I do think I made the right choice using autologous costal cartilage. Maybe it is because I was so stressed about my nose drooping before... I really hated drooping. For the areas where I had fat grafting, I did not want them to look overly full, so I only did up to the 1st round, and I am fully satisfied even with just the 1st round.
