The consultant was a bit scatterbrained, but she was very honest and not rude, so I liked that. She said I use my forehead a lot and recommended filler or fat grafting, saying it would make me look more feminine. She said the space between my eyes is on the wider side, and after feeling the bones around my eyes, she said there wasn’t enough room for lateral canthoplasty, so I’d probably need the front opened. The consultant and the doctor had the same opinion, so it felt somewhat trustworthy. The doctor’s consultation was the most thorough out of all the places I had consultations. It was my first consultation, so I had no real idea what kind of eyes I wanted and was wavering, but he explained the types and methods of surgery in detail. He also created the eyelid line several times, and said my outer eye corners droop and make my eyes look stuffy, so we should extend them longer to make them look more open, etc. It felt like a consultation tailored to my face. Pros * The consultation was very thorough and detailed. The consultation time was long and substantial. * After the consultation, they explained things in detail on something like a consultation record card. * They accepted what I wanted while recommending a direction that suited my face without going overboard. * Free aftercare service and 3-year AS. Cons * I liked it, but the price was extremely harsh compared to other places. * I had more questions and wanted another consultation, but they said a repeat consultation costs 50,000 KRW. 2. ㅇㅂㅈ Plastic Surgery, Director ㅇㅂㅈ (Bangbae Station) 30-minute wait / consultation time 30 minutes / consultation fee 10,000 KRW / pressured for a deposit x / partial anesthesia Skin excision + ptosis correction: 3.1 million KRW First, I had a brief consultation with the consultant. She asked about my double eyelid surgery history, touched my eyes a few times, and basically just said I’d need an incision? She didn’t say much. The doctor’s consultation felt like I was receiving treatment at a hospital for medical purposes. Looking at my eyes, he said they were asymmetric and that I was opening them with forehead strength, and recommended skin excision and ptosis correction. It didn’t feel like he was over-recommending at all, but the doctor himself has a very clear idea of what eye shape he considers healthy and pretty.. Since it was my first time hearing about surgery with skin excision, I said I was curious how the surgery is done, and he said, “Why do you want to know that? If you want to study, take out a book and read it.” At the time, I wondered, did I cross a line? But thinking about it, then am I supposed to keep my mouth shut and leave it to him without knowing what surgery I’m getting? It felt pretty absurd. Even after that, he said he doesn’t understand people bringing in photos and asking to be made exactly like them. (I had never shown him a photo or brought one with me.) All the doctors at the previous clinics had recommended medial epicanthoplasty, so I asked about it, and he said he doesn’t do canthoplasty, and said that it’s a surgery that should disappear. Then he suddenly showed me a photo of someone with big eyes and said that no matter how much surgery he did on my eyes, he couldn’t make them that big. I brought up canthoplasty and it ruined my mood. Like I don’t know that already^^ The consultant did the wrap-up consultation, but she just mechanically rattled off the price and post-surgery AS, then it was over. After the consultation, she wrote the estimated price on a business card. Pros * I think it would be a good fit for someone who wants natural and healthy-looking eyes rather than a purely cosmetic goal. * They said that if fat removal or repositioning is needed during surgery, the doctor will handle it and make the eyes pretty and healthy. There is no additional cost, so if you consider that a pro, it’s a pro. Cons * The doctor has very clear personal standards, so if you want canthoplasty or have a clear desired eye shape, and your thoughts differ from the doctor’s, there may be conflict. * He said they would only know whether fat removal or repositioning is needed after opening the eyes, but he didn’t clearly explain what surgery would be performed, and he disliked explaining it. * During the consultation, he got a phone call urging him to go to surgery, and the consultation was mostly just him scolding me, then he said “that’s it” and left to do surgery. He gave the person before me 30 more minutes of consultation, but gave me less than 20 minutes.. On top of that, I don’t understand charging 10,000 KRW for the consultation. I went to two more places, and I’ll upload those soon too. I hope everyone gets consultations somewhere that suits them and ends up with pretty eyes!!
