When you read posts here, there’s a lot of talk like it absolutely has to be autologous costal cartilage, so it was a material I agonized over until the end (I was like that too) But for anything, you really need to listen to what the specialist says.. The director explained donated costal cartilage and autologous costal cartilage and said either one could be used, so I suddenly felt like I wanted to have surgery without taking on extra risk.. For some people, taking time off work for “just” revision rhinoplasty could be looked down on, so adjusting my schedule was difficult, but I actually thought of it as a benefit Now I had the silicone made a bit higher, so it looks about natural-but-defined? I need to work hard on managing the columella scar..
