First of all, about 1 year and 6 months after my surgery, my nose started hurting. Also, my skin was originally fair and thin, and since I already had some nasal bridge height, once an implant was placed on top, it gradually started showing through. Inside my nostril, cartilage was protruding too.
I was also very worried before deciding on surgery. It’s different now, but.. Back then, I really liked that surgically enhanced nose, and I was scared thinking my nose would become really strange if I removed it. I didn’t even think about my original nose.
I was just in pain, couldn’t even eat, and felt depressed, so I went straight to the hospital. As soon as I had the removal consultation, I decided on surgery. At first I was scared for a day or two, but once I let everything go, I felt more at ease. So I had surgery right away the following week, and now it’s almost been two months. As soon as the splint came off, I really liked the shape, and the height definitely returned to my original nose. As for the shape, the doctor did a little refinement using my ear cartilage, so it’s smoother than my original nose. I had a bit of a hump, but it doesn’t look like it was shaved down, and I’m still taking Rizaben. I haven’t had any side effects from Rizaben, and the contraction phase, like my nose feeling tight, was there a little around 2-3 weeks after removal, but now it’s completely fine. People don’t notice at all, and even my family says they can’t tell, so that’s a relief. I was also worried about Rizaben side effects, but thankfully I don’t have any.
Everyone, don’t be too scared, and I hope your removal goes well. It won’t become as strange as you imagine. You’ll also regain your natural face and realize that naturalness is beautiful.
