One week after thigh liposuction

Day 1: I went into surgery around 11, and when I opened my eyes it was 2:30. When I woke up in the recovery room, it didn’t hurt as much as I expected. It takes a little over an hour by subway from the clinic to my home, and I got home safely, half sitting and half standing! After I got home and lay down, one calf suddenly swelled up like it was going to burst, and bruising came down too. It hurt so much then that I wanted to cry, but I took painkillers, ate, took antibiotics, and fell asleep quickly when it became bearable.

Days 2-3: It wasn’t as “extremely” painful as I expected. I was waddling, but I had no problem walking around and living at home. Going to the bathroom, which everyone says is unbearable, wasn’t bad either. But I didn’t feel confident going outside, so I praised myself a hundred times for not listening to the clinic consultant who said I only needed to rest for one day.

Days 4-5: Until then my calves had been swollen and hard, but they went back to being soft. But instead, it felt like my thighs were swelling. Going to the bathroom started getting difficult too. I took off the compression garment and showered for the first time, and noticed I had much more bruising than I expected. On both sides of my groin, I’m not sure if it’s bio-bonding, but round, raised, very stinging lumps formed.

Days 6-7: My thighs transformed into yellow pickled radishes. At the same time, the bruises turned black and red, and the bruising reached its peak. Somewhere online, I read that if bruises turn red in a net-like pattern, the chance of pigmentation is high, and I’m worried because it seems exactly like that now. After applying bruise cream, I put on the compression garment while it was still sticky, and it hurt so much that today I’m living without the compression garment. But after taking it off, it actually hurts more, maybe because the flesh shakes.

I’m in the late 160 cm range, mid-50 kg range, and my upper body is slim, but my lower body was the opposite: I had wide hips and a lot~~ of fat only on my upper thighs and buttocks, a lower-body-heavy type. I originally had a gap between my inner thighs, but my saddlebags stuck out!

I decided on surgery because I expected liposuction would solve my saddlebag complex. I didn’t see it with my own eyes, but the clinic says they removed close to 5000 cc... Honestly, so far, whether it’s because of swelling or not, I don’t like the lineㅠㅠ The saddlebags still look bulky. I’m measuring my thigh size with a tape measure every day, and my thigh size before and after surgery is the same. I’m scared about when the line usually starts to show and whether I wasted money for nothingㅠㅠ Daily life is only daily life in the sense of eating, sleeping, and taking light walks. If I had to work standing up or was in a situation that required a lot of movement, I absolutely don’t think I could do it. Sigh, they say time is the medicine, but time really doesn’t passㅠㅠ
