I had the mesh removed at 1 year and 7 months…! I was scared and thought about it a lot right up until the surgery, but I think I did well to remove it. There were a lot of adhesions, and it was just about to break through the mucous membrane. It may have already come through slightly, so I think we have to watch the situation.
They also mentioned contraction, although the possibility is low, which was scary. (I’m going to curse the first hospital that secretly used mesh.)
