Hi everyone! It has been three months since I had 360-degree abdominal liposuction, and the feeling right after surgery is quite different from now, so I wanted to write about it.
Before surgery, I searched for tons of reviews. There were many saying what happens after a few days, but I could not find much about how things change over time. So I will simply write down what I felt in chronological order.
🩹 Week 1 — Honestly, I regretted it a little The hardest period. Because of the swelling, I looked thicker than before surgery, so I wondered, “What did I pay money to do?” lol. The contour I imagined was obviously nowhere to be seen, and even lying down and getting up alone was difficult. I do not think it is possible to judge the result at all during this period.
Week 2 — No one can tell from the outside Most of the bruising had faded, and it reached the point where it did not show when wearing clothes. But there was still no line that made me think, “Huh?”
Weeks 3–4 — I found lumps and worried again When I touched my abdomen, I could feel hard lumps. There were also uneven areas. My mental state wavered again at this point. I kept searching because I wondered whether something had gone wrong. Looking back now, it was just part of the process, but I did not know that then…
Month 1 — “Huh? Has it changed?” for the first time This seemed to be the turning point. As the swelling went down quite a bit, I noticed a change for the first time. But it was still ambiguous. “It seems different, but do I just want to believe that?” That was how it felt.
Month 2 — I noticed it in my clothes before the mirror From this point, it became clear. But I noticed it in my clothes first, not the mirror. Pants that had simply been difficult to fasten around my waist went on easily, and the fat that used to spill over the waistband no longer did. That was the clearest sign.
Month 3 (now) — It feels like the contour has settled somewhat There is almost no swelling. The lumps have also softened a lot. Now, when I look from the side, I can see the line descending from my waist to my hips. My back has also been refined.
But I do not think it is completely finished yet. There are still some lumps, and areas where I feel, “This might slim down a little more.”
✨ So this is what I have felt: liposuction does not end with the surgery; it seems that time creates the result together with it. If you judge it from photos taken immediately after surgery, you will probably be disappointed almost every time. I was too.
But it is truly amazing how it changes little by little over one or two months. It does not suddenly change overnight; it comes gradually. It has not completely settled yet, but these days I am satisfied because I can see differences from before whenever I look in the mirror haha.
So I want to tell everyone here who is still in the early stages to wait just a little longer. How you look at one or two weeks is not the result. Really.
❓Question for everyone: During recovery, when did your contour change the most? I felt the biggest difference between months one and two. Was it similar for everyone, or did it come later for some people? - Did it continue improving after three months, or was it almost fixed at that point? - When did the remaining lumps disappear completely? - If you are at six months or one year and noticed further changes, please tell me!
Hearing your experiences would make me feel reassured I would really appreciate it if you left a comment!
