Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

6 weeks after nose surgery

The photos on the left are from week 2, and the ones on the right are from now. I wrote a week-3 post last time, but the swelling has gone down much more since then, so I’m posting one last time ㅎ Before surgery, my nasal tip was on the higher side, and I had basically no glabella/nasal bridge. For the surgery, I had osteotomy, silicone for the nasal bridge, and donated costal cartilage + ear cartilage for the nasal tip.

It’s still not the perfect straight-to-slightly-curved line I wanted, but until 3 weeks ago, my nasal tip was too high and it looked like a semi-scooped line. Compared to then, I’m much, much more satisfied. And before going into surgery, I asked them to make it as natural as possible, but from the front it doesn’t look high, so when I think about more swelling going down from here, I sometimes regret asking for it to look natural ㅠ There are bad stories about donated costal cartilage, so I’m still very, very worried, but they say there are many people who don’t get side effects, so I’m going to try to think positively too.

Also, something I was curious about: I had my internal stitches removed at week 2, and they didn’t tell me to come in for a one-month follow-up. For those who were told to come in, why do they ask you to come? Maybe because it’s a somewhat famous hospital, the aftercare was so-so compared to what I expected ㅠㅠ
