3-in-1 Facial Contouring + Nose + Fat Grafting: 2-Week Review

Hello, everyone. I’m leaving a review because it’s been 2 weeks since my 3-in-1 facial contouring + nose surgery + fat grafting at a community! I wrote this as detailed as possible, so it’s a bit long! My face was originally long overall and had a masculine look, with a peanut-shaped face and a very pronounced underbite, so I decided to go ahead with the 3-in-1 facial contouring plus a genioplasty setback as well. I also had a hump nose with a drooping tip, so I had hump osteotomy, no-implant surgery + donated costal cartilage, and because I didn’t like that my forehead was low and uneven, I also had forehead fat grafting Since I was already going through a hard time, I heard it was better to do everything at once, so I made up my mind and went for a major overhaul! Because I was doing everything at once, I thought a lot about which hospital to choose. First, I heard that Director Park Jong-rim at ㅅㅅㅇ is famous for doing facial contouring safely and well, and that Director Song also makes noses look very natural. Also, having an anesthesiologist on site was reassuring, and as some people may know, the consultation time and the surgeons’ operating time are separated, which really made me feel at ease! I wanted it to look as natural as possible rather than flashy, so I looked up many reviews, and they really do make it look very natural. Even during the actual consultation, they listened well to what I wanted, honestly told me what could and couldn’t be done, didn’t over-recommend anything, and the sincerity of the consultation made me think, “I should do it here” [Before surgery on the day of surgery] Before the surgery, I had a brief consultation with the doctors, and for the facial contouring I showed them a photo of Yoo A, and for the nose I showed them a photo of Han Ga-in and said I wanted that look I thought even myself that I was being a bit shameless, but they said they would match it as much as possible, so I felt reassured Originally I was planning to have the nose surgery with autologous costal cartilage, but they said the rib cartilage available on me couldn’t be used for the nose... so in the end I went ahead with donated costal cartilage I’m quite timid, so I didn’t look up the surgery process or how it would be done and just lay down on the operating table blindly, but they said I was pretty low on iron, so I was worried maybe I couldn’t have the surgery. Still, after the OR staff told me to make sure to take iron supplements, I counted to 3 and fell asleep [After surgery on the day of surgery] When I opened my eyes, I was leaning back in a recovery room bed. It hurt, of course, but what bothered me more was how incredibly thirsty I was.. On top of that, because of the nose surgery I couldn’t breathe through my nose, I was still groggy, and I couldn’t even keep my mouth closed, so I think I awkwardly said “please give me water” five times in a row I was told I could drink water only after about 4 hours once the sedation wore off, so I held out, and as the anesthesia gradually wore off it got so painful that I screamed “Aaaah...” by myself During that time, the doctors came one by one and said the surgery went well and asked if anything felt uncomfortable, and I nearly teared up for a moment, but I was told crying would make me swell, so I quickly held back the tears.. Also, I didn’t bleed much, so they didn’t use a drainage tube. I only later learned about drainage tubes while reading other people’s contouring reviews, and I was really grateful I didn’t need one.. I wasn’t supposed to lie flat, so I slept sitting up against something, and because of the pain I woke up every hour and kept asking for painkillers Every time, they responded so kindly without a hint of annoyance, asking if anything else felt more uncomfortable. Once it was time for me to drink water, they brought it right away, and when the ice pack melted they replaced it with a new one. I was truly so grateful As time passed, I could drink water and get pain medicine, and the pain became manageable. I could go to the bathroom on my own, and since I couldn’t sleep well I kept massaging with the ice pack. The swelling was less than I expected, so I even took a selfie as a memento, spending the day alternating between sleeping and waking up [Day 1] I had been worried because I saw reviews saying it would be hard to go home alone, but thankfully a friend came to pick me up, so I could go home comfortably On the way, I kept breathing through my nose, felt dizzy, and felt hot in my face, so it was rough. But once I got home and took the prescribed medicine plus Tylenol, and kept replacing the ice pack with a cool one, I felt much better. My mouth still wouldn’t close, so I struggled to drink only soy milk, and mouth rinsing was hard too, but I did it diligently. By evening, my face started swelling up and the bandage wrapped around my face looked like it might burst Still, personally it wasn’t terribly painful, so it was tolerable, and I was told I could remove the gauze under my nose, so I removed it and spent the day just wiping away the blood that kept trickling with tissue [Day 2] I wasn’t used to sleeping while sitting up, so I woke up early around 8. But Director Park from facial contouring called me around 8:30 in the morning, checked whether I was okay and how I was feeling, and since it wasn’t even working hours yet, I was so moved that they were taking care of me like that. Today was the day to go to the hospital to remove the cotton in my nose and the bandage wrapped around my face, so when I visited, they had even made time to come see me briefly before going into surgery They came, checked me again, and left, and I really felt relieved and thought they were truly paying close attention, and that I had really made the right choice by doing it at ㅅㅅㅇㅎㅎ The staff in the treatment room were also very kind and explained things in a detailed, easy-to-understand way. More than anything, their hands were so quick that it didn’t even hurt. Others say that when the nasal packing comes out it feels refreshing and you can breathe, but I was still so swollen that I still couldn’t breathe.. Still, once the bandage around my face was removed, the tightness in my face eased a bit and I could finally breathe a little easier I diligently followed the treatment room staff’s instructions to use ice packs well, walk around, take medicine properly, rinse often, and apply ointment well to the wound area [Day 3] The much-awaited 3rd day after surgery.. I thought my face would burst as soon as I woke up. They say day 3 is usually when swelling is at its worst, and it felt like the first time in my life my face had ever been this swollen Still, compared to other people, maybe my swelling was relatively mild or maybe I recover well, but my mouth could close normally now and my speech was only slightly slurred, so that was comfortable. Since I was told I could remove the tape, I removed the tape on my chin, and it honestly hurt the most since the day of surgery I barely managed to take it off while applying cleansing oil, and it stung.. Still, I was happy just to be able to wash at least the lower half of my face [Day 4] It was amazing how the huge swelling gradually went down day by day, as if I were becoming a different person Even my round nostrils, swollen from the swelling, became slightly slimmer and more vertically shaped. 대신 I got yellow bruising around my eyes Even though there was still swelling, the disappearance of my underbite was so amazing and satisfying There was a slight feeling of heat, but it was almost not painful, and from this point on I was sick of soy milk, so I ate egg soup, but unfortunately it got caught in the stitches in my gums... It was a struggle to get it out [Day 5] It may differ by person, but even people around me were surprised enough to ask if I really had this little swelling by day 5. The swelling had truly gone down a lot. My speech was no longer slurred and came out well, so I could talk on the phone with friends, and since I wasn’t in pain anymore I stopped taking Tylenol I was told I could eat non-spicy, soft noodles like udon, so I cut them carefully with scissors and, instead of chewing, scooped them up with a spoon and swallowed them! From this point on, I ate Danggwisusan, New Vein, and pumpkin tea while praying hard for the swelling to go down [Day 6] Originally, day 7 was supposed to be the day to remove the silicone support, columella stitches, sideburn stitches, and thigh stitches, but the left silicone support felt like it had gone too far inward, which made me anxious. So I called the hospital in the morning and asked whether I could have it removed today instead. They said moving it up by a day was fine, so I went straight to the hospital and had it removed. Thankfully it hadn’t shifted too far, and once the silicone support was removed, it truly felt like my nose finally opened up and I could breathe through my nose, which was like a whole new world.. I had worried because so many people said stitch removal hurts, but as expected, they removed it with skilled, fast hands before I had time to feel pain. They also checked the stitches inside my mouth and removed what I thought was that egg soup foreign body too They removed the forehead tape that had been on for the fat grafting, and finally took off the nasal splint too. It felt so refreshing, and the bridge of my nose came out beautifully and smoothly, almost like it wasn’t my own nose, but I felt like my nostrils were showing a little. Director Song came over, looked at it, and said that because I had undergone a major surgery all at once there was swelling, and that it would improve once the swelling went down, which reassured me After that I also got the chin strap, and at the care room I received cleansing, sebum softening for the nose, facial exfoliation, cryo cooling care, and swelling laser treatment, which was all so comfortable and refreshing. They said the care items vary each time you visit. They told me not to bend my head down when washing my hair, but to tilt my head back instead, so as soon as I got home I washed my hair right away and slept feeling refreshed [Day 7] Once my nose was open, my mouth no longer dried out and I slept and woke up so well The pain was completely gone, eating became much easier, and my nose was definitely slimmer than yesterday. The swelling in the upper part of my face had clearly gone down quickly. My senses were dull around my cheekbones, nose, and upper lip, and there was still yellow bruising around my eyes and chin, but as my overall facial line became more visible, I was so satisfied. Every day I walked on the treadmill, wore the chin strap, took my medicine faithfully, and prayed for the swelling to disappear faster [Day 14] Finally, it was the day to remove the stitches in my gums and inside my nose, so I went to the hospital. After the CT scan, they removed the stitches, and honestly... removing the stitches from my gums really hurt.. Maybe because I recovered faster than others, new flesh had grown over the threads, so they had to cut the skin a little..? while removing the stitches. It was half sharp pain, half relief that they were finally coming out.. They said if you rinse well, the thread dissolves faster and hurts less, but maybe mine didn’t dissolve well I just endured it by tearing apart an innocent doll for no reason The remaining tiny threads were said to be absorbable threads, so I understood right away Still, thankfully, the treatment room staff were fast-handed, so it ended as quickly as possible. After the gum stitches were removed, the nose stitches were hardly painful at all After that, the doctors came one by one, compared the CT images before and after the surgery, and explained everything well. They said my facial contouring was good enough to be shown to others as a successful case, which somehow made me feel proud They also touched and examined my nose carefully and said it turned out well, and that once the swelling goes down more it will come out really beautifully, so I was completely reassured Then I went to the care room and got cleansing, exfoliation, LDM lifting, modeling mask, and swelling laser treatment carefully, and they were so kind and attentive, asking if there was any other area I wanted care for. I felt so good Everyone was kind every time I went, and I really felt like I was being cared for, so even now I think I made the right choice. I’m also grateful that they made my face naturally, exactly the way I wanted, without overdoing it.
