I think it took more than 2 years for the subtle swelling after double-jaw surgery to go away completely.. I had double-jaw surgery because of malocclusion, and I’m satisfied with my face shape. There is some asymmetry on both sides. I don’t think double-jaw surgery is something to take lightly, and I do think double-jaw surgery can be the answer for cases where someone is really troubled or it can’t be fixed with orthodontic treatment. I had it done at the dental department of one of the top 4 large hospitals.. I remember it cost a huge amount of money even back then..
