Hello Last February, I had jaw surgery and wisdom tooth extraction done at the same time at Yang Yoon-dol, and I’ve now reached the 1-month mark. I summarized the process, including consultation, surgery, and aftercare. -Before surgery I had a recessed chin, and I disliked how my face looked too long, so I decided to get facial contouring surgery. While looking for which hospital to choose, I found a place called Yang Yoon-dol. The reviews were so good that I made an appointment to get a consultation first. When I had the consultation, my first impression of the hospital was that it was clean, and they kindly explained well things like possible side effects that could occur afterward, so I thought it was a place I could trust quite a bit. Actually, before going, while reading reviews online, I had thought that having surgery at this hospital would be the most suitable option. After visiting in person, I became convinced that I could have surgery safely, so I booked the surgery right away for the following week. -Day 1~Week 1 It was my first time having general anesthesia, and when I opened my eyes, the surgery was already over. I had jaw surgery and wisdom tooth extraction done at the same time. Maybe because of that, the swelling was severe, and on the first day it was even hard to swallow saliva, so I barely slept. This condition continued until almost day 3, and it was hard to eat, so I mostly had nutritional shakes or porridge. After struggling like that, around one week later I could see the swelling gradually going down, and I was able to eat foods as long as they weren’t hard. -Week 2~1 month At 2 weeks after surgery, I had the stitches inside my mouth removed. Online, some people said it hurt when the stitches were removed, while others said it didn’t hurt. In my experience, it did sting, but it was at a level I could easily tolerate. Now that it has been 1 month, the swelling has definitely gone down a lot, and I’m living like I did before surgery. I think most normal daily activities are possible after about 2 weeks. Overall review: For about 3 days after surgery, it was so hard that I wondered if I had done it for nothing, but now I think it was a good surgery, and I really think choosing this hospital was the best decision. The consultant and director explained everything well without pressuring me into surgery, so I felt even more reassured.
