It’s almost been 1 year since I had alar reduction at a clinic. The clinic has changed its name now. I had the surgery under sedation, and maybe because the incision area was small, it wasn’t very noticeable even with stitches. But after the stitches were removed, the scar bothered me a bit for several months. It would be a lie to say there’s still no scar at all, but it has faded a lot. I think time is the answer for scars. After surgery, I got annoyed because it seemed a bit uneven, but when I looked at old photos, my nostril wings seemed a bit uneven even before..ㅎ (There is no perfect symmetry in this world) I asked the director to reduce it only a little and make it extremely natural, and they really made it so natural that I actually went back to the clinic for a consultation asking them to reduce it moreㅋㅋㅋ But they told me it looks natural now and not to touch it..ㅎ So I’m just going to live with it as is. I’m a student in a field where my face has to be shown a lot, so I got it done because I was stressed that my nostrils flared badly. My alars didn’t become insanely small or anything, but compared to before, my nose doesn’t flare like crazy and looks prettier, so I’m pretty satisfied. I’ll think about reducing them more later if I get greedy.
