6-year review of incisional double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction

I was told that because of double-eyelid glue, all the skin on my eyelids had sagged, so I was opening my eyes with my forehead. So incision was the only answer. At the time, I was in middle school, so I had so little information about plastic surgery ㅠㅠ I couldn’t really look into hospitals properly and just went for a consultation at a place with good Naver reviews (Naver blog reviews, where they say there are the most brokers...). First, I had a consultation with the consultant and also with the director, and both of them were completely kind and clearly understood the problems with my eyes really well. The price was a bit expensive. Still, I talked well with the consultant and they discounted it a lot ^•^ First, I went in with partial sedation anesthesia. I was under sedation anesthesia for only 10 minutes, and from the middle it was injection anesthesia. When I was under sedation anesthesia and having surgery, I didn’t feel anything. There was only a burning smell. But when they woke me up in the middle and did injection anesthesia, it hurt so much. I could feel the needle going in, and I cried, so they gave me injection anesthesia one more time. Even then, it hurt a lot... Still, it was near the end, so I endured it and came out, but I felt so nauseous, had a headache, and it was chaotic. Interestingly, I didn’t have much swelling. Since it was incisional, I thought I would swell a lot, but there wasn’t much. Instead, the bruising was severe. Even when I get procedures like fillers or contour injections, I’m the type who bruises easily and the bruising lasts longer than swelling ㅠㅠ Anyway, because I didn’t have much swelling, after the stitches were removed I was able to go about daily life right away, and people thought my original eyes just had strong double eyelids, so they didn’t know I had double eyelid surgery. But since it was incisional, the surgical line still remains even now, though people don’t notice it, so it’s okay. Oh, and I also had ptosis correction, but honestly I don’t really know the effect of that. To me, it just feels like the double eyelid surgery turned out well haha. I used to think double eyelid surgery was a light procedure, but I don’t think incision is like that. It hurt more than I expected, and when the anesthesia wore off in the middle it was extremely painful. It was like that even after everything was finished and I came out. I was lucky? Even though I found the place through Naver reviews, I went somewhere decent and it turned out well, but double eyelid surgery is definitely not a light surgery, so please go after thoroughly looking into places your acquaintances went to and so on. More than anything, the director’s experience, whether there are cases of side effects, and each director also has a preferred eye-shape style. It’s important whether they only try to do it in the style they like, or whether they match what suits your eyes! Aside from how painful it was back then, I’m very satisfied with everything. I hope those planning double eyelid surgery have successful surgeries!!
