My eyes had been a complex of mine for a long time, so this time I went around for consultations. There were 4 places in total, around Apgujeong and Sinsa. They were all close to each other, so it was easy to get around! I brought my car, but parked it at one place and went back and forth by bus & on foot. Walking is doable as exercise too~ Since the estimate will differ for everyone depending on the diagnosis anyway, I’ll just write down how the consultations felt. - Apgujeong ㅇㅇㅇ (consultation fee 10,000 won) [ Diagnosis: incisional ptosis correction & full canthoplasty diagnosis ] They took photos and gave an estimate. The director was very, very calm. The counseling manager(?) counselor(?) felt businesslike. Maybe it was just the time slot I went, but there were a lot of male patients. The diagnosis itself seemed accurate, but there wasn’t detailed explanation about the surgical methods. (For example, if they say “eye expansion surgery,” there was no explanation of whether exactly they mean “canthoplasty” or “ptosis correction.”) The price range was the highest, so my baseless sense of trust went up... was that what they were aiming for???
- Sinsa ㅇㅎㅅ (no consultation fee) [ Diagnosis: medial & lateral canthoplasty diagnosis ] No photos taken. (Important) I did not see the director. They called me only by my given name without the surname to try to create a friendly feeling, and they tried hard in various ways... The stitches dissolve, so there’s no need for a separate additional visit, which seems like both a plus and a minus. The building itself isn’t great, but the interior is good.
- Sinsa ㄱㅎㅅ (consultation fee 5,000 won) [ Diagnosis: incisional ptosis correction & canthoplasty (+ various others) diagnosis ] No photos taken. The director pinched out a line for me. I could see they were trying to be kind, but it doesn’t seem like their original personalityㅋㅋㅋ I know... I know... The counseling manager was very friendly and made the consultation comfortable. The director & manager synergy somehow made me feel trust;;; I know that’s a sales tactic... I know, but... They listened to my complex, suggested various surgeries for improvement, and gave me the choice about them.
- Apgujeong ㅁㅅㄹㅇ (consultation fee unknown) [ Diagnosis: none ] As soon as I went in for the director’s consultation, I thought I had done something wrong... I looked it up later and they were famous for that style; I went without knowing. They asked me, almost like an interrogation, why I wanted surgery, and finally said because of this and that, I won’t operate, the consultation is over, yes, and I came outㅋㅋ;; It seems like either it’s not something that can be fixed with eye surgery, or it’s at the level where I can live fine so why surgery;;;;;;ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ At the time I felt dazed, but they gave me this unfounded confidence like, oh, am I not that severe? Thank you... (?)
I still haven’t gone to two places in Gangnam, but I feel like scheduling more consultations won’t happen right away, so I’m wondering if I should choose among these..ㅠㅡ
