<Day 1><Day 5>I had (full incision + epicanthoplasty + ptosis correction) + a swelling injection at BL in Daegu.
My eyes, which I had been worrying about for a long time, were monolids with severe Mongolian folds and asymmetry. So I thought, instead of just worrying, I’ve saved money too, so let’s go get consultations, and I had consultations at three places. Among them, I chose the place I trusted the most and felt most drawn to. By my standards, I think the line came out nicely too, so in conclusion I’m satisfied.
I had sedation + local anesthesia, so I fasted for 4 hours and booked surgery for 11 a.m. I arrived 30 minutes early, got ready, and waited. But because they were preparing the operating room and the doctor had another surgery before mine, it was delayed by about an hour, so by the time I entered the operating room, I was actually no longer nervous.
When I went into the operating room, the nurse gave me a hemostatic injection? that thing, and we talked about this and that. Then the doctor came and marked my double eyelid as an in-out line, and said we should go to another better room to finish marking the line, so we went. But that was the real operating room lol Justin Bieber music was playing, and it was a bright operating room with glass windows lol I sat down, got the line marked again, and lay down. The doctor asked the nurse, “Did you put in whatever-it-was?” and I guess that was the anesthetic, because after hearing that I got sucked into darkness lol Along with Sam Smith’s song... What was really amazing is that I could hear all the music lololol It felt like being sucked into darkness while riding the rhythm of the song.. this is... a whole new world..! lololol
After about 5 minutes? the sedation gradually wore off, I opened my eyes and saw the nurse, but suddenly my body started trembling and shaking. So I told the nurse, “My.. body.. is.. sha..ki..ng..” and she said, “Oh, that’s the anesthesia wearing off. Don’t worry haha. Some people have nightmares or colorful dreams, but it’s okay.” So I said, “Oh, I went under while listening to what the doctor was saying lololol I got pulled into darkness lololol.” We talked about this and that, then she said the doctor would come soon, and the doctor came and surgery started!
During surgery, because my eyes were under local anesthesia, it felt like something very heavy was placed on my eyes, so there was no pain. I could hear the sound of the incision and fat removal, and there was a burning smell, but it was just a sensation, only a sensation..; lololol For the epicanthoplasty, I felt absolutely nothing, which was fascinating........ Then the doctor asked how I found out about this place lol So I said I searched online, and he asked whether people said this place was good lolololol Anyway, we talked about this and that during surgery lololol So maybe it didn’t feel real whether this was surgery or a consultation lol After I opened and closed my eyes dozens of times, the doctor said the line came out well because I didn’t move and cooperated well, and told me to do eye compresses properly. Then the surgery ended. With the nurse helping me, I went to the recovery room, got the swelling injection, did a cold compress, received a compress pack and pumpkin juice, and came home lol
The nurse said that when they mark the eye line, you have to open your eyes wide so the doctor can mark the line well, so whenever they said “open your eyes,” I opened them really wide lololol
Days 1-3 are cold compresses, then warm compresses until the stitches are removed. Since mine was a full incision, I’m going on day 7 to get the stitches removed.
On the first day, while doing cold compresses, blood was flowing and flowing... flo...wing lolololol That’s when it finally felt real lololol It didn’t sting, I just gently dabbed it with tissue, quickly applied ointment, took my medicine, and slept lolol The next day there were blood scabs too, so I went to the clinic and got it disinfected lol After that, there’s no need to disinfect it, and the answer is to apply ointment diligently!
I was worried because if you do it in summer it’s hot and you sweat, but maybe because it’s hot and blood circulation is better, the swelling seems to be going down relatively quickly! I’ll keep doing compresses diligently, take my medicine, drink pumpkin juice, and apply ointment diligently!
