Eye Surgery Reviews

[Clinic A] review

I knew it was a large clinic with many doctors, but it was even more chaotic than expected. Do they perform lower-eyelid fat repositioning like a factory? I had to wait quite a while, but I saw almost five people, including people washing their faces before surgery and people coming out afterward. Since I had only visited one-doctor clinics for consultations until then, it probably felt even bigger. It seemed like they might not even notice if someone failed to show up for a consultation. I paid 30,000 won for the CT and 30,000 won for the consultation, 60,000 won in total, the most among all the clinics I had visited. They asked on the day of my appointment whether I had rhinitis, and I had the CT because of that, so I wondered how they consult people without rhinitis if they do not get one. The consultation proceeded consultant–doctor–consultant, and the consultant briefly explained the basic surgical process. I could have waited longer to see the doctor, but the doctor looked extremely busy. Looking back, perhaps the doctor had just come out of surgery. As soon as the doctor entered, they asked what was stressing me, so I answered that my nose looked thick. The doctor examined it from various angles and continued the consultation. When the doctor asked whether I really had rhinitis, I said I had lived without knowing, but after getting a CT for the consultation I learned that my septum was deviated, so I thought I had it. The doctor said everyone had some deviation to this extent, that there was no one whose septum was completely straight, and that I did not know how much the previous clinic had frightened me. The deviation was not severe enough to make it unusable, but the size was small, so the doctor said rib cartilage might be better. When I said I wanted to improve the front view more than the side view, the doctor said I would have to raise it a lot, which would make the nostrils look like two vertical lines, so I would have to give up one of those goals. The doctor also said that if I proceeded without an implant, raising the tip too much would ruin the harmony and look strange. The doctor suggested osteotomy as well, and when I said I was worried about becoming too pointy or looking longer because the nose would become thinner, the doctor said osteotomy would not make it that thin. I showed a photo of the nose I wanted, and the doctor explained that the bridge contour was blurry, so I would need silicone to achieve the look I wanted. I liked that the doctor clearly explained what was and was not possible and what would happen. This is the clinic I feel most drawn to so far. My only concern is that it is too large a clinic. A different doctor will remove the stitches, and apparently only the day 7 and day 14 follow-up appointments will be with this doctor.
