Hello. I had rhinoplasty for cosmetic purposes only 1 year ago, and my current concern is that cartilage was added to the septum on the right side and the nasal tip was raised. The rhinoplasty I had was for the nasal tip, a hump, and a crooked nose. I only had it done cosmetically and did not undergo a functional examination. The shape is good, but I can breathe about 70% on the right side. It feels stuffy, so I am considering revision surgery.
I am wondering whether I should go to a university hospital ENT... or a plastic surgery clinic with ENT/plastic surgery collaboration. At the university hospital, I do not know the details right now, but they say I need septal deviation surgery and mucosal resection under sedation anesthesia. The plastic surgery/ENT clinic says all causes of the nasal congestion need to be operated on: septal deviation surgery, mucosal resection, and nasal valve under sedation anesthesia.
The university hospital did not mention the nasal valve;; I am really worried right now about what I should do.. I feel like there may be people suffering like me, so if there are, please be sure to leave a comment.
