First of all, I have a bulbous nose... I had bulbous nose correction, alar reduction, nasal tip surgery, and silicone implant for the nasal bridge. I wanted to use only septal cartilage for the nasal tip, but they said it wasn’t enough, so they used ear cartilageㅠㅠ Nose surgery is really hard... From the first day, my ear was throbbing, I had a foreign-body sensation, and my face was so swollen that I looked awful... Because of the cotton packing, I couldn’t breathe properly, so sleeping was really so hard. I was always short on time, but after surgery it felt like time was moving really slowly. My nose throbbed occasionally too, but the ear side was worse, so the nose was okay. More than anything, sleeping on my back was hard. Even when I got piercings, I slept on my back for a few days, but this time, thinking the silicone might move made me even more stiff. Plus I couldn’t lie face down eitherㅠㅠㅠ My runny nose kept flowing, so I felt like I was going crazy... Every time I moved my head, the foreign-body sensation felt so unfamiliar. I got the cotton removed today, and it was definitely much more bearable. The day after surgery was the hardest point. I couldn’t sleep... If I did fall asleep, my mouth would get dry and the position was uncomfortable, so I’d wake up... My ear was throbbing, so I took Tylenol, but then I got dizzy and nauseous. I haven’t even removed the splint yet, but honestly, even though I had intended to do the nasal tip, I hadn’t intended to do the nasal bridge, so I’m really unsettled right now... ㅠㅠ I’ll definitely have to remove the silicone someday.... Seeing my unattractive bulbous nose stressed me out, but after surgery, I mostly feel like maybe I should have just lived the way I was ㅠ
