I consulted with the manager, then with the director, then the manager came back in and explained the surgery-related matters in more detail. It seemed like the manager briefed the director on what the patient had discussed, and then the consultation was handled in a similar way. Since this place only does noses, even the manager seemed good at pinpointing nose-related concerns. The manager was kind, and the director was kind too, but the director seemed busy and left, so I couldn’t ask everything I wanted to ask... That made me feel a little uneasy. I worried that if the surgery schedule got busy, it might be the same during surgery.
Good points: They used cotton swabs to shape the nose and showed how it changed, and because the nose wasn’t too long and was just the right length, the aesthetic sense seemed good. They looked at the overall balance of my face and told me what needed to be done. They recommended alar reduction, the nasal tip, and the bridge. Because my nose is upturned, they recommended a straight-but-slightly-raised line. Other than the bridge, their recommendations matched the surgical direction I had been thinking about, which I liked. In the waiting room, a man briefly took off his mask and his nose was so pretty that I was instantly drawn in.
Bad points: My nasal bridge isn’t that low, but they recommended a silicone bridge. It seemed like they were recommending only according to this hospital’s design style. Most importantly, they said they would use the septum and ear cartilage without even taking a CT scan.. For a short nose like mine, there is almost no septal cartilage, so if they remove it the nose could become crooked later, but they didn’t even check whether the septum could be used and just said they’d use the septum, which bothered me quite a lot. I wondered whether the people who said their nose became crooked after surgery at this hospital had issues because of the septal material.
The design would probably be pretty, but I couldn’t make a quick decision because I was afraid of later side effects
