I went for a consultation with Director Song Jin-kyung about alar reduction, but she recommended nose surgery instead. She said that since my nose was low and spread out, raising the height would naturally solve the alar problem, and the consultation was kind and thorough. Maybe because she’s a female director, I felt like she really understood me, and it was a comfortable atmosphere where I could ask all the questions I had prepared, including about raising the bridge, the starting point between the eyes, cartilage graft methods for the tip, side effects, and other things. The A/S period is one year, and she said they only charge the anesthesia fee. Since my nose is low, she recommended autologous costal cartilage plus ear cartilage instead of the septum, and I can’t have surgery right away, but if I do, I think I’d consider it.
