This was my fourth nose surgery, so I thought a lot before going ahead with it. After my first nose surgery, even after getting a revision, contracture developed and my nose lifted up again, and after a third surgery with donated rib cartilage at another hospital, it still didn't improve, so I was really struggling. My nostrils were so visible from the front that it was always stressful, but when I consulted with the doctor, he understood the methods I had gone through better than I did and explained them well, so I trusted him and had the surgery. After surgery, I like the tip of my nose, the nostrils look slimmer from the front, and I like the side profile too! As time passes, the swelling and shape are settling in. They said my nose was a complete mess during surgery, and that there was severe scar tissue around the silicone on the bridge, the columella and nasal tip cartilage had all been torn and weakened, and because donated rib cartilage had been placed with septal cartilage, the tip of my nose had become extremely weak. I really had a nose in an extreme condition. I wish I had met the doctor at my first surgery.. The doctor always checks my progress carefully each time, and says it will settle well slowly, so he'll keep watching and checking my progress, which gives me a lot of reassurance and gratitude.
